This review is for the Blackheart Engineering 1x12 16 ohm cabinet. Nicely built. Weighs under 30 pounds. Made in China. Distributed by Crate. It actually seems like a good Crate distributed product. Not junk.
It has 2 parallel in put jacks. This is great for me since I use mostly Fender tube amplifiers and many of them are 8 ohm. So, running two cabs in parallel to get down to 8 ohms is perfect for my application. If I need to get down to 4 ohms, I will have to buy 2 more cabs (total of 4).

The sound is great. It has somewhat of a Celestion sound even though they are Emminence speakers (british voiced?). I have all of my amps from the 60s up to the new stuff. When I play lead with gain or overdrive (bb preamp), the tone is more of a singing violin like tone rather the buzzy nasty distortion. Chords also have a wonderful slightly compressed sound. Eric Johnson comes to mind. They sound so much better than what you hear on all of the youtube videos (those sound nasty).
My original intent was to pull the speakers and put my Vintage 30s or Greenbacks in them but I am extremely happy with the tone of the stock speakers.
The amps I have used are a Fender USA Pro Jr Tweed, 60s Fender Bandmaster, Crate Vintage Club 2112R, Fender Super Champ (80s Riveria design), Fender Super Champ XD.
I have yet to test them with my Bassman heads, Pro Reverb, Deluxe reverb and Deluxe reverb II.
The guitars I used: 65 Fender Strat, 2004 Ric model 340, 2004 Brian Setzer G6120SSU, Hagstrom Swede.
I play classic rock, blues and heavy rock. I gig regularly but the years of using a stack are long gone. I only play gigs that do not require micing up the amp. I only use low power amps these days......15 to 30 tubes watts.
Sounds WAY better than my Marshal 4x12 1960A cab (why do people like those anyway?).

The cab is made from cabinet birch plywood. The speakers are Emminence. Looks like a win win combination. I will assume they will be reliable. My weekend of gigs this memorial day weekend will be the stress test.

I don't care. I will deal with AMS.

Been playing for about 42 years. Have lots of Fender gear, old and new. It won't get stolen. It sounds great and it is light. If I need a 4x12 I can use 4 of them. They won't break the bank or my back!
