This amp was very disappointing! There was nothing clean about the sound, which I was expecting to achieve based on all the hype. This is a fractional 1w amp that is very loud at max volume, a plus for some. I could not get a decent sound from this amp. I also purchased the BH110 cabinet, thinking this would be the place to start as the cabinet was designed to match the amp. The amp volume fluctuated while playing. The sound was always vibrating, almost like a reverb. Tried the guitar volume up and the amp down, tried the amp down and the guitar volume up, same vibrating, shrill, vibrating output!
I think this amp was defective from the manufacturer, but never got any support, so I won't know. Since these amps are hard to locate in stores, I purchased this one on line. Big mistake!

Got to say the construction looked to be first rate, but I'll never know.

I tried to make this amp work, I sent emails to Blackheart and they all bounced as undeliverable!

I don't think all Blackheart amps are as bad as this one, based on all the hype and demo's available on line. My experience was much different, so I can't be complimentary here, sorry Blackheart!

No frills rock bottom basic on/off and volume. Big humongo red light. Every Class A amp should not leave production without a stand-bye switch. I give it an 8 for that. 4/8/16 Ohm output is genius.

Ibanez 540S through Boss ME 50 and others..... My instinct is to install a BITMO, but this Amp does not need one, IMO. It's just great without one. I like the tone. Tubes seems to be allright. Through pedals, this Amp is rather loud for a 1W. (this seems to be an oxymoron) Drummer will drown it out, but it is right up there for sure. This is my 3rd simultaneous Class A Amp. I think I like it better than Epi Bitmo. It is very Marshally. OD just oozes. You know its great when you can't stop playing, even when you want to.

No problems yet. Thinking of installing a stand-bye. I did this on the Epi and it is a no brainer. Perhaps swap tubes in future after they've been good and worn. Nice size.

Crate is OK in my book. I had a practice that I sent out for a new transformer and was fixed by shop under warrenty (with 2 weeks left) for the price the Amp was worth. (I think I fried the transformer because I wasn't matching Ohms on output)

Originally $149, price was jacked up after they found a lot of people were interested. I waited a year because I felt insulted. Bought 33 W V Series instead, for same price, $179. I had no intention on purchasing until I ran across a Blowout sale of $129. I didn't think it would meet my expectations. But it has in spades. I play at this volume 99% of the time. Soft crunchy and munchy. I was suprised my guitar was giving me feedback at such low volume. This is probably my favorite Amp. It's what I do. I don't play, I tweek. I've been whining on forums for years how come there isn't a low budget tube Amp market. Now it has sprung....

Simple tube amp with one watt of power. It has an on/off switch and a volume. On the back it has speaker 1/4 inch jacks for 4, 8, and 16 ohms. Very light and sturdy box. It does not have handles to carry it. It has a nice tolex cover and the blackheart logo.

The sound from this amp is outstanding. It is good for bedroom musicians like me. It does not get too loud but you can get a good crunch or overdrive with it. Not good for heavy metal and you will likely need a pedal in front of it.

I have been playing for more than 20 years. I have a few other tube amps, and this one is good for the purpose of practice and possibly recording. It sounds good with different cabs. I prefer the sound of the blackheart little giant over the killer ant because it has more tone controls and speaker outlets. I will prefer the killer ant over the epiphone valve junior head beacuse, in my opinion, the killer ant sound better.
