I run the cabinet with my Bogner Shiva (EL-34 type) amplifier head.
The tone is really beautiful! The combination of the Shiva and the 2x12 along with my Suhr Standard, Quilt Maple top over Alder body, Maple neck, African rosewood fretboard, H/S/H pups, the sound is awesome! I also run a Fulltone FDII w/Mosfet for more aggressiveness.
The tone is full, tight, warm, very organic, wood-like, powerful sounding, holds together under heavy volume great! A truly wonderful Cabinet, from Clean to Distortion, it's one of the best!

The Cabinet as everyone has said, built like a tank, that's true, but Bogner doesn't build there own cabs! The company that builds for Bogner also builds for some of the best Amplifier companies in the world. There top notch! from Tone, Craftsmanship, build quality, every aspect of some of the best sounding cabs in history are looked into. To produce a very musical product, that will hold up from tours.

It's funny when someone wants to put down Bogner's 2x12 cab? Tone is in the person mind! But to take the time to write there opinion, as though it would change the minds of many guitarists around the world that love the Bogner 2x12 over size cabinet, from professionals etc. Go on the forums, and put in a search and you'll know also! Anyway I've been playing around 30yrs, and like many have own a ton of gear! I really like the cab, it's easy to carry, the sound is big and full with tight bass, sweat highs, very warm but bright and it does cut through a band mix. Sounds awesome on stage and in the studio. The resale is also something to think about, which is great!
If you connect a sub-standard amp you get what you pay for. If you state that you get a bad tone, you should also state what amp your using! in any case A Great Cabinet and instrument.

Going to be short and sharp on this one as it's just a cab. Only mono, but for the price should have been stereo. Definitely not versatile enough by a long way. Everbody who heared it in an A\B contest hated it. This was the closed back cab but I really don't think that buying the 3'' open back panel would have made much of a difference (although I could be wrong). Dreadful muddy rubbish that can't handle midrange because it doesn't have any. Odd for Vintage 30's. This thing should be used for bass guitarists as even when the bass and the resonance were turned down it was still bassey. Weirdest cab I've ever heared and that says something as I've tried alot.

Handles everything except what you want it to! Woody and woolly and woofey. Definition is awful. Anything clean is awful and plain dull. That's 10 very experienced people's opinions being identical!
If you want extreme heavy riffing with masses of distortion, scooped mids and more bass than you'd ever want (and don't want to turn off) then this could be the 2x12 for you. Your sound engineer and bass player will hate you!

Not applicable. It's a cab! It's build like a tank - good point.

Been playing for around 20 years and own\have owned alot of gear. Lots to compare against.
If it were stolen, they'd probably return it to me on my doorstep the next day without me asking!
Would I buy it again? You are having a laugh!! Sent it back very quickly with a load of us waving it goodbye out of the studio.
Hate the sound. You want to cut through a live mix? Get an axe as as that's what you will need with this. I play all styles of music and this is easily the least versatile cab I've ever played. Really hated the sound that much along with everybody else who heared it.
Giving it a 2 as it may be useful for some people in certain situations and it's build very well.

It??s the best Box I??ve ever played in my live. I??m playing guitar over 16 Years. Buying some cabinets. Also a Soldano 4x12. Now for the transfer a 2x12 Box is better for me. This Bogner sounds better than the most 4x12 cabinets. Full, creamy, woody, excellent! Also a "simple" Celestion V30 Speaker can sounded very very nice in the right combination with the cabinet and his wood. That??s it. If you are searching for a 2x12 cabinet. Check it out!!! You can??t get a better one. really!

MAde in 2006. Over sized 2x12 cab with celstion vintage 30's (like ever other speaker cab these days it seems). Side handles, top handle, casters that are removable. single input. Mine is 8 ohm. I believe there are 16 ohms available. SOLIDLY BUILT> VERY SOLID and a little heavy.

Wow...really really good sounding. Full and tight with awesome bass. About the same as a 4x12. Really...I am so impressed. I have a Mesa 4x12 recto cab and a GK 2x12 guitar cab from the 80's. This Bogner is about as Full as the Mesa and way more so than the GK 2x12. Not to say the GK is bad. It's not but the Bogner is something else entirely. I can hear "wood" with the Bogner.

10+. I recomend one with out hesitation. The price is a bit high...but in the ball park of other US made quality 2x12s. ie; Mesa, VHT. If you want closed back sound an 4x12 whomp but a smaller lighter package....buy it.
