I bought this amp on Ebay about a month ago now. I'm from the UK so I had the joys of international shipping to deal with (plus the UK's fantastically high import duties). I had Bogner themselves change the amp over from 110v to 240v.
I have had a small collection of quality Marshalls, Fenders and Boogies, but this Bogner is head and shoulders above them, even my 3 channel Marshall 9100 which until recently I thought was the most appropraite sounding amp to suit my playing. Each of the three channels is gorgeous and clear and the excursion switches are very usable. The loop is switchable between series and parallel and for the parallel option you have a dry/wet mix knob.

The thing that makes this amp so good for me is the plexi switch. You can assign it to either channel 2 or channel 3 (Blue and Red channels). The blus channel with the plexi mode is THE guitar sound I've been chasing, it's the best tone I've ever heard. I remember falling in love with an old AC30 that I just couldnt afford at the time, this Bogner has taken that place.....The green (clean) is magic, the blue channel like I said is wonderful and the Red (lead) channel does everything it should. Take note you shredders, this amp isnt for you at all, but if you like Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, EVH and Joe Satriani then all of their tones are in this box.

109lbs (pft) this beastie weighs in heavy than my old Twin. Built with the very best, heaviest and expensive components, I could throw this of the van and it would just laugh at me.

Dont know yet the chap who I bought the amp of arranged all the conversion for me, incidentally he was a wonderfully helpful bloke. They gave the amp a quick check over for me for free whilst they changed it to 240v. By all accounts they are good to speak to.

I got turned on to Bogner in 2002, and I just had to have one!
I play Jazz Blues, and Rock and Bogner gave me the tone Quality I've
been looking for. I bought the Ecstasy and a 4/12 cab, and I'm very pleased with the investment.I use all three channels, and love the
way I can get the right tone wile playing.
This amp is good for gigs, studio work, and live shows!

I play my Les Paul, Strat, and Chet Atkin through The Ecstasy, and I
have never heard a amp that is so versatile with the different tipes
of guitars.I use the clean channel for the acoustic, and the other
two for the electric guitars.
A friend at Rocker guitars turned me on to the Ecstasy, and I had to
have one! My Fender Twin broke down on me, and I bought it to Rockers to get fixed. they had a frew Bogners, and I played it and every one
stoped and lissoned to the tone that I was getting, after I stoped
my wife said out lowd! YOU CAN ROCK!

I've been playing guitar for thirty years, and I've played through
Fender, Sunn, Peavey, and heard Howard Dumble amps, and I think
Bogner is the amp that people can aford, and still get the tone they
want. This amp is worth the extra bucks that you have to put out!

My Bogner Ecstasy 101B 2x12 combo has been a work in Progress for me, as it has taken a good 5 years to find an amp that actually has a soul to it. Now I know this mays sound a bit much, but I tell you this---my Bogner feels more like an extension of my playing, than a piece of equipment. It has 3 channels (all with boosts), footswitchable standby, dual presence controls, tube buffered serial/parallel effects loop, pentode/triode switch, full/half power switch, exscursion controls (affect the travel of the speaker), eq switches, assignable Plexi mode, and much much more. I wish it had reverb like on the Shiva, but then life would be just too good. It is really loud 120 watts, and believe me, has a huge amount of low end. My Ecstasy has a beautiful wheat-colored whicker grill with cream pin-stripping---making it very easy on the eyes. The only complaint I have is the positioning of the power switch and the effects loop controls---they can be a pain to get to sometimes.

I am currently playing a customized Les Paul with Tom Anderson pickups running through an assortment of stompbox based effects--- (Zvex Fuzz Factory, Justin Evermann Fuzz Drive, Tech 21 XXL, Hughes&Kettner Tube Factor, Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe, Hughes&Kettner Replex, ADA Flange, and soon a Digitech Space Station). I play a mix of Brit-Pop/Indie/Romantic Music---and the Ecstasy furfills all of my playing needs. This amp can literally go from a soft whisper clean to over the top--- kill your mama distortion in a flick of a switch. It is reasonabaly quiet for such a high-gain beast. I have never played a high gain amp with dynamics like the Bogner Ecstasy. It is defined, punchy, complexly detailed--- in a way that no amp has ever sounded to me before. Whether it is chord work, or searing leads, this amp always comes through---I feel that it almost sings. It is almost like this amp is alive, as the louder and longer you play, the more open it becomes. It has everything from a slight breakup to greasy chilidog flavors. Whenever I play another amp, I feel like I am missing something, and I instantly know how trully lucky I am to have this amp in my stable. I have recorded, rehearsed, gigged, taken this amp almost everywhere, and the damn thing gets better with age. If I could give it an 11, I wouldn't hesitate. This amp is absolutely incredible!!!

I would definately gig without a back up, as I really think the engineering is that good. I would love, however, to own another---maybe in the next life. The amp is easily the best built amp I have seen, and weighs in excess of a hundred pounds. I wouldn't drop it off the back of a truck, but I don't worry that often of its disentigration either.

I spoke to the guys at Bogner a couple of times, and each time they were courteous and polite. I have never had any problems with the amp other than tube changes. I bought the amp used, but it should still have a lifetime warranty. I have a feeling that other than having them do the class A/AB swith mod, I will never have to worry about any malfunctions...lets cross our fingers!

I've been playing guitar for over 6 years, and have played just about everything out there---I feel lucky to have finally found my guitar's true voice. I can't commend Bogner enough for finally making a high-gain amp that actually responds to your pick dynamics while having enough gain for any style or playing technique (take notes Mesa/Boogie). I am floored everytime I plug into my amp and hit a nasty power chord. As a Singer/Songwriter I can't tell you how great it is to have an instrument like the Bogner Ecstasy 101B in the arsenal, to not only elevate my guitar playing, but my own voice as well. I started out playing a Mesa .50 Cal+---traded it for a VHT Pitbull Classic---traded it for a Hughes & Kettner TriAmp and have played everything from Egnater TOLs to Tremoverbs and beyond, and once I found my Bogner...I have never looked back. I urge anyone who really wants there ass kicked, to give Bogner a try---I guarantee you won't look at amps the same way...
