From the moment I played it, I knew I had to have one. The tone this amp has is INCREDIBLE! A great tube amp with the addition of a real presence knob (unlike some that are just high frequency boost/cut)and a Schizo switch that makes this amp sound like 6 different amps.

I use a Parker Fly Deluxe with DiMarzio Humbuckers and an active Fishman Piezo pick-up. I almost threw out my pedal board, because I love the tone of just the amp without my pedals sucking tone away, you can REALLY hear the difference even with true bypass! Extremely sweet and clear clean. Turn the gain to 11 o'clock and you have a nice warm overdrive, crank the gain all the way and you have the famous Bogner creamy distortion. All that you have to do is turn down the volume of your guitar and it cleans right up, the way a great amp should. I can't begin to describe Bogner tone, especially the Metro line, You have to play one to believe it. But if you are like me you will wish you didn't because then you will have to own one for your self. I wish I could give the sound an 11.
Then I throw my Fishman on and the sound is Incredible. Clean, Crisp, Clear. Everything I could want. And the Tube Reverb is out of this world. I would buy one of these amps Just for the reverb, it is that good

Life time warrenty, need I say more. The powertubes didn't have wire guards like the 30watt. Come on Bogner, I don't want thoes babies falling out during transport. Also No corner guards and the tolex seems on the thin side. Also with only 15watts I feel like I push it too hard, but I knew that when I bought it.

This is one of the best amps I have ever played. PERIOD I wish that Bogner made a cross between the 30watt and the 15watt because I feel the 30 a little much and the 15 a tad underpowered. And for around 1200-1500 the is really a great amp.

This is a follow-up from my prior post. I have noticed when looking around on-line for the Bogner Metropolis that some do not have a "middle" tone control and some do.

This amp fulfilled my needs of finding a versatile amp for both studio and live use. The amp features 15 watts with a Celestion greenback 12" speaker. The schizo knob is the coolest feature! It allows incredible tonal diversity. I found running the tone controls at 12 o'clock produced a smooth even tone, not hyped. The gain and master volume controls allowed incredible diverse tones at a reasonable volume (which was of utmost importance to me). The exterior is very clean and retro looking. This amp is absolutely a wonderful work of art.

I use a variety of guitars with this amp...a G&L ASAT Classic, Anderson Classic and an assortment of Dano guitars. I was able to dial in just about any sound I desired...especially when used with my pedalboard. When used in a studio setting, I never even touched any of my distortion units...the amp produced creamy blues tones as well as gritty Mike Campbell type tones. This thing is incredible versatile. We were blown away with it in the studio.

I've only had the amp for a few days. The amp is wonderfully constructed...seems that it is a workhorse, very reliable!

I've been playing for thirty years and own a few other Fender amps including a Hot Rod Deluxe and a pair of Blues Juniors. If have owned many other amps and found the Metropolitan to be the absolute best sounding amp ever. This amp is an entirely different level of gear. Truely a work of art and very musical.
