Bogner Triple Giant

Please keep in mind the HANDMADE BOGNER Silver Faceplate Triplegiants are going for 600-1000$. People are mistaking the PCB mass produced Black Faceplate TripleGiants and selling above market value. Do not buy for anymore then 300-350$US people are price gouging on eBay due to some goofball acutally paying 400-500$ for the Blackface PCB massproduced version. There are plenty of these, close to 100,000 were made after Hafler bought the design from David Bogner so there is no shortage.

Great tone for the PCB cversion although the Original silver faceplates ones have no distortion hum, or breakup.

The oringals are prettymuch bulletproof aisde from maybe one or too caps after time needing replacing due to smaller rackmounts and heat from power amps. The massproduced Blackface tend to have some type of hum when the distortion is cranked, best used with a noisegate.

Great cheap Preamp for 300$, I have peronally bought 2. One in 99 for 300$ and one again last year for 350$. People are selling them way over market value, do not pay anymore than 300-330$.

very simple to use, but i only give it an 8 because it's bulky(2u rack space)and you can't change the channels without a footswitch. other than that three channels can give a world of sounds and it also has a good effects loop and can be controlled via midi. also having a front and back input is a huge convineince. swapping tubes in this thing is cake which is another great thing.

i mainly play an ibanez rg570 with it, and i can get anything from smooth cleans to marshall chunk to mesa growl out of this thing.
i give a 9 it would be ten, but it can get a bit noisey on the sharp channel with the gain cranked.

3 channels - Clean, Brown & Sharp. FX loop, FX loop mix. Gain,Bass,Mid ,Treble & Volume on all 3 channels. Global Master Vol. Very versitile. I play mostly metal , rock, funk & blues, It covers everything I need and then some!

I use a variety of guitars W/ humbuckers and single coils . Gibson L.P's, Strats ,L.P junior dc , frankenstein strat. 62 SG junior. Too many to list all of them . This thing sounds amazing with any guitar I use. It lets every guitars individual voice shine through!! Hardly any noise on high gain settings. Trace's mod just made this pre-amp come alive. The clean stays clean unless the gain is dimed on that channel,open and airy, way less compressed than it was stock. The Brown channel is fat & thick , it was awful before the mod, sounded like a wah-wah was on 1/2 way all the time and you couldn't get rid of it, Trace fixed that problem, it's hhuuugggee sounding now, Perfectly EQed. Sharp channel hits you in the head like a LEAD PIPE , massive, simply Awesome. I couldn't be happier with the mods Trace did for me. brutally thick Gain , string articulation ,punchy & tight. No mud here! Been playing 23 years , I have a pretty tuned ear for good tone , and this thing has it!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't had it long enough to know, but I gigged with it this weekend, 4 - 50 minute sets . it was on the whole night , NO Problems. also have 4 to 5 hour rehearsals 4 x weekly and have had no problems whatsoever!!!

Trace rules, just an honest, hospitable, genuinly nice guy . He took the time on the phone, before and AFTER I had the mods done to make sure everything was fine, and I was happy with the work he had done. He made sure the tone was EXACTLY what I heard in my head. Again, I can't say enough about the guy, he RULES

Iwould absolutely buy this again if were stolen. I love it !! I'm going to have Trace mod my trem-o-verb combo real soon. Maybe my Marshall JMP too!!! oh yeah, and another thing, this cuts through a band so well ,that you don't have to crank it to be heard!!
