I have been gigging for about a year with Bonepicker's "Super Duper," a wonderful Super Reverb type of amp 35 watts conservatively, 4 10" Jensens). Construction is perfect, all the best parts are utilized (not a tech or I'd say more, just a very happy picker), and I get comments from every guitar player in the room after a set. They usually ask me what pedals I'm using, and freak when I tell them I'm just going straight in, no pedals at all. One guitarist (whose opinion I value) told me that my Telecaster (52 reissue American with Harmonic Design p'ups) sounded like church bells, each note was distinct and clear.
If you want a carefully considered custom made, point-to-point hand wired amp hand built to your specs, and priced WAY below any of these boutique shops, order a Bonepicker.

I play a lot of styles, from harcore Bakersfield type of Buck Owens picking, to Howlin Wolf/Muddy Waters blues to Ramones, as well as ballads. This amp handles it all with panache and style. After all, an amp either sounds good or it sounds bad, doesn't matter what style you play. The amp has great headroom, without being anemic or dull at low volume. Great tone all across the volume spectrum, and on stage it gives me that "bedroom" sound, the tone you could always get in your home but never on stage. Know what I mean, Vern? I own a '65 Pro Reverb that I have used for around twenty years, and love dearly. The Bonepicker, while sounding different (4 10s vs. 2 12s, a few different pre-amp tubes) has never diappointed me, and now I can give the Pro a well-deserved rest.

Reliability : 10
No problems whatsoever. I have owned a few boutique (God, i hate that word when talking gear) amps, and the Bonepicker's construction reminds me of the Matchless amps: like they were built in some lab at the Pentagon. James Bond would have gotten this amp from Q in 1965 to defeat a solid state, printed circuit board, master volume/bright switch nemesis threatening to destroy music with horrid sounding amps. Oops, I think the bad guy won. But Bonepicker is fighting back, one handmade amp at a time!

Great guys, way more knowledgable than myself. I described what I wanted, and nothing was overlooked. Warranty is almost silly, because I think this amp could withstand a direct hit.

Overall Rating : 10
I'm 48 years old, been playing since Feb 5, 1964 (the day after The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan). If the amp were stolen, I would absolutely get another.
