I'm sure the business owner is a great guy but I gotta say, the communication is sub-standard. Missing some parts and still haven't received them or any followup communication. Very dissapointing.

Overall Rating : 7
There are a lot of places to buy decent 18 watt kits. I think I'd try someone else if I were going to do it again. However, the next amps I build will be built from scratch rather than kits.

Excellent product - poor communication

18 watt all tube point to point hand wired by myself. Recieved in kit form, Built in approx. 2 days. Highly moddable and tweakable. Volume and Tone control with adjustable speaker impedence.Very potent amp based on the old 18 watt marshalls from the 60's

Sound Quality : 10
Incredible boutique quality tone from vox-like chimey to marshall distortion. Very responsive to picking nuances. An extension of your guitar playing persona.Great recording amp and loud enough for club style gigs.

Reliability : No Opinion
I built it , so it is quite reliable. Top shelf components. Can't rate it yet, but have logged approx. 40 or so hours on it with no troubles at all

Customer Support : 10
Moss at Brown-Note is very helpful and available. I built the amp so I will warranty it for life.Great People, Personal and friendly

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 40 years, I hve owned more amps than I can remember, I currently also own a Mesa, a Dr.Z, a Thunder Tweak, a Marshall, And this little 18 is my Favorite. It is extremely versatile for such a simple amp and I would build another if it were lost or stolen. Great deal for anyone who can read a wiring diagram and wield a soldering iron. I highly recommend it! Caution: read a couple of books about tube amps before taking on a build project so you don"t hurt yourself on the high voltages.
