Dirty-good, channel goes from clean-ish to 80's rock to 90's Dual recto tone ( actually better then a rectifier!)
Hi Gain chanell: A-F***ING maizing!! soo much punch and low end and gain. This sounds inbetwen channel 3 and 4 of the Diezel, but kills other amps like Soldano, Bogner, Mesa..etc!!

i have tons of other amps that i use in the studio, whenever i need a clean tone, no matter what kind of music, this amp is brought out! ive recorded lots of metal, hardcore, metalcore, death metal etc bands that loved and used this amp. even for less gain british sounding stuff the channel 2 on this kills! If you need a am you can play from a warm clean to all balls out...this is it. i guess you really have to hear it to belive it..when i first heard it i didint say anything..i was just shocked!
Good job guys in Itali

3 channels, 120 watts, midi of included footswitch switching, effects loop this thing is amazing. Did you ever wonder what a real amp should sound like? This is it. I'm sick of the sounds everyone else is making. The fake chug chug metal tones. This thing sings and breathes fire all at the flick of a button.

This amp is super quiet as far as noise, and louder then god when you need the authority. I run it with a diezel 4x12 and this thing mows. My band plays melodic metal and i need to hear the notes im playing. And this thing truly delivers

a) all-tube 120W head, 5x 12ax7 as preamp tubes and 4x EL34 (5881 and 6550 can be used too) as power tubes.
b) 3, or better 2 and a half channels: clean, crunch and XL (eXtra Lead)
c) clean channel has controls for: gain, master, high, mid and bass EQ, and a "bright" switch for, guess what, a brighter sound
d) crunch channel has controls for: gain, master, high, mid and bass EQ, hasn't the bright switch, but has a 3-positions switch for normal, fat or boost sound (that gradually increases the amount of gain) and a 3-positions switch that adds or cuts medium frequencies
e) XL channel shares the EQ controls with the crunch, but has independent gain and master
f) front panel is completed by general volume and presence controls
g) back panel has two cab outputs, impedance selector (4/8/16), send-return inputs with the possibility to choose serial or parallel system, the 3 buttons-footswitch 5-pin input and a preamp output
h) there's a useful 19"-1-unit rack-space where you can insert your effect, if you have one, instead of using a rack cabinet of its own.

i have a gibson SG standard made in '81, and i love it.
i play post-hardcore-metal stuff, in the vein of Deftones, Snapcase or harder stuff like Earth Crisis or Slayer, this amp fits perfectly for the style i play, except i wish it had 3 completely separated channels, as its new version XL-Revo has
i use all 3 channels (well, mainly the XL, but the other two as well) and the only problem is feedback at high volumes, probably due to my guitar though) they all have superb sounds, i would recommend this head to everyone from warm clean sounds lovers, to hard rock maniacs, from deathmetal bangers to ... anything that comes to my mind!!!

i've been playing for 10 yrs now, the only other big head i've owned is a JCM-800, very good for hard rock and not-too-xtreme stuff, other than that i've owned 40W combos and 100W head valvestates, but i've heard a lot of people using high gain heads like Engl, Peavey...
to me, the XL is a reeeeally valid alternative if you play music where high gain is required and want a dual or triple rectifier but cannot afford it

Built in 1999. Probably one of the most versatile heads. 3 Channels, 120 watts, sufficient power. Unique: extreme pressure, also at low levels. Extremely quite. Harbours a 19-inch rack space for effect-processor mounting. And the midi implementation: just great. Back side: Euro-lead socket, fuseholders, 4/8/16 ohm impedance selector with dual speaker outputs, MIDI in and thru (for channel switching), a five-pin DIN footswitch sockets, effects send and return with variable level controls for each, and finally, a preamp output. Front: logically labelled and laid-out controlls. Three separate gain controls for the clean, boost and XL (high gain) channels. Clean channel features a bright switch while the boost channel has a three-way selector between 'extra', 'fat' or 'normal' boost. Next in line are the clean channel's bass, middle and treble controls, and clean channel volume control with a green status light which also acts as a channel switch. The boost channel has its own trio of tone controls, but this time the mid pot features a toggle switch giving 'add', 'normal' and 'cut' options to the mid frequencies. Both the boost and XL channels have their own volume knobs, with status light/push-switches, and finally, a master volume control sots alongside the presence pot, with the giant toggle switches for standby and mains on/off at the far right. I use it mainly for pop and rock stuff. In some live situations, a 4th channel would be nice, but I live quite well with the volume knob of the guitar.

I use a Fender Custom Strat with EMG SL-20 and a Chat Guitar with Seymour Duncan Custom Picks. The XL head is for high-gain lovers because ther's a tremendous amount of juice on tap. It's capable of extremes too, as the clean channel is just as impressive in its clarity and body as the XL channel is in dirt and meatiness. The player interaction is great, with the XL responding sensitively both to pick attack and dynamics; I found it virtually impossible to dial up a bad sound. Even the potentially problematic 'break-up' blues tones are here, enbedded in the boost channel and plenty versatile.

I have this amp for 4 months now, did 35 gigs in some very rough conditions (heavy rain, heat, cold), this amp works and works. I carry no longer backups, but have now a flight case.... It's a tank, but a beautyful one....

I never had a problem, but a few questions. 20 points, if I could. Response on every question within the same day. It's just impressive. Dealer locator availabe at www.brunetti.it.

Playing for about 22 years, I'have owned a Boogie, a Bogner for a short time, an Egnater, just own an Engl, but I think I sell it too and buy a second Brunetti XL. The price/performance is outstanding. It fit's perfect for me in all aeras. The XL fits very well in live and studio situations. The sound cut's through any bandsound, but it's never harsch. There are also other very good amps around and I played lots of them, but I'am in love with this italian beauty.
