Brand new. Yes, the amp is very versatile for me. Traditional/Chicago Blues. It has 2 channels, footswitchable with an A/B/Y box; channels are jumpable; no effects loop, no headphone jack. I use both channels singlely and jumped i have even used an A/B/Y box to "channel switch". It has everything that I want and I certainly use all of the features.
I use this amp in my professional music career. Yes, it has enough power.

This amp at its heart is a 67/68 plexi that has been refined to deal with the upper mid-range harshness. I had Tony equip it with a truly defeatable master and I use it both ways master and non-master. I spoke with Tony about this particular master volume circuit that he used and it is the first of its kind. And it is, without exception, the best master volume I have ever heard. It has a very nice usable sweep on the pot and when it is switched out, it is completely out of the circuit. I give this a 10 because it is extremely versatile for me.

Mainly Suhr strats with v60lp's. Really suits my style very well. I play traditional/Chicago type blues and funk. It is not noisy to me. My opinion is that it is very quiet. I don't really listen very hard for that. So, if you are splitting hairs, you may find it to be noisy, but I don't. I really only use this amp for gigging. Everything that a plexi will do from plexi clean to plexi dimed. This amp will get pretty distorted, but definitely not a metal amp; more classic hard rock and vintage blues tones.

I've tried this amp with my current cabinet for it which is a Marshall slant 4x10 with gold-backs, a closed back 2x12 Bruno cab with 2 G12H's, and a Bogner 2x12 with Vintage 30's, a THD extension cab with classic lead 80's and a VHT 2x12 with vintage 30s. The Bogner, by far, is my favorite cab as it is well-balanced and very open sounding, and the vintage 30's upper mid-range works very well with this amp. The VHT was truly just terrible. The THD is a very nice cabinet, just not quite there with the Bogner. The Bruno cab is a great sounding cabinet, just not enough upper mid-range from the G12H's to do this amp justice; works great for practicing at low volumes. The Marshall 4x10 with gold backs is really the best cabinet to gig with this amp and definitely gives the most vintage vibe.

Reliability : No Opinion
This is a preliminary review as I have not had this amp very long. I have another one of Tony's amps and have never had a lick of trouble with it and have gigged with it quite a bit. I do gig without a backup. The amp has never broken down, but its brand new. I take very good care of my gear; spare fuses and tubes are always a good idea.

Gene at UltraSound and Tony himself are absolutely, bar none, the best at customer support and service. UPS beat the crap out of this and another amp that I ordered. Both Tony and Gene have bent over backwards at their expense and on their nickel to resolve this problem to my satisfaction. Really, no joke, to MY satisfaction. And just to add some dimension to this, I regularly work with three of the best guys in the business with regard to customer support and satisfaction. And, in order, they are: Eddie Berman at Indoor Storm;
Brian Meader and Bill Brooks at Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center; Eddie, Brian, and Bill all deserve at least and "11" and Gene and Tony definitely a "13". I only put 10 because it doesn't go any higher.

Quite a while. NUNYA. If it were lost or stolen I would literally consider stealing or car-jacking to get the money to buy another one. What I love about this amp, is that I get all the classic vintage Marshall tones without the upper mid-range spike to the brain. I don't hate anything about this amp. I did not compare this amp to other products because I knew I wanted it specifically, having had experience with another Bruno amp. This amp is very expensive; you could probably buy a vintage Marshall plexi for what it costs, but this amp is better made with better components and just plain sounds better by a wide margin. Considering that a vintage plexi would most likely need a cap job and a re-tubing after you spent the money for it. This amp truly is a fantastic value. I do wish that it had 2 mid-range controls: 1 for lower and 1 for upper, but this is just a personal thing, I don't feel it is a short-coming of the amp because you can more than make up for a lack of upper mid-range control with proper speaker selection. The Bogner 2x12 with V30's, the THD 2x12 with classic lead 80's, and the Marshall Slant-4x10 with goldbacks are all excellant matches for this amp.
