Not extremely versatile, yet it represents anything you throw at it with depth and conviction.

I used a strat with Texas Specials and a couple of Tube screamers ( 808 and orig. ts9 ) and was completely frieaking happy for several years. Absolutely brilliant for srv or blues tones, although I was after slightly more aggressive tones, occasionally. Deep low mids and sweet full bandwidth were the siren song of this amp when I first encountered it at 30th street guitars in NYC.
I bought it in early '97 and will not part with it. I have since switched to a Humbucking-equipped guitar, but will return to single coils again (this amps forte'). This amp breaks up beautifully with just about any guitar when blasted.
Right now I have Tone Tubby 12" speakers in the floating baffle. lovely.

Totally dependable and easily serviceable. I could tear this thing apart and put it back together if I needed to . Tony is an amazing guy who deserves a tremendous amount of credit for making such simple yet amazing tone vehicles.

Undeniably, Tony is a man who stands by his products. I have played through my amp as he changed out resistors and even shocked himself in the process of making it sound right for me.
Crazy good.

I have been pro for at least 10 years and played for almost 20. This amp is irreplaceable. Like a classic car, you can customize it and make it a part of your personality more than any modern amp I know of. It's expensive, but rewarding beyond any other amp I have ever owned, and I have owned and toured extensively with many!
