i'm not sure when this amp was made but i think it was one of the first ones to come out on the market(my guess is around 1996). this amp is as versitile as you are. your classic hand wired class a/b tube head. 2 12ax7s 2el84s and a tube rectifier. not alot of knobs to confuse you. just volume treble and bass. high gain and low gain inputs. one of the LOUDEST 18 watt heads you will ever whitness. i originally bought it to a/b it with a fender bandmaster head for clean, budda for dirty. long story short, anyone want to buy a bandmaster head? ha ha

Sound Quality : 10
i play a les paul through a maxon od808, ibanez ts9, and a mxr compressor. i plug this into the low gain input and usually have the volume knob around 12o'clock. the high gain input tends to get a little too trebley for my taste(especially with a les paul).i play the amp through a fender 2x12 cab with celestion vintage speakers. the amp works superbly for my style of improvisational jam rock. through careful use of the volume controls on the guitar and by using the overdrive pedals in sequence, i can get everything from sparkling crystal cear clean tones to the crunchiest gnarliest overdriven tones. plus with the compressor placed after the o/d pedals it keeps everything nice and even (and with sustain for weeks)

very dependable; very reliable..i've used it for 4 years of steady practicing and gigging with only 1 sketchy instance involving a severe loss of volume (the guy i bought it from said it had just been re-tubed...it hadn't. however this was easily remedied with a good old fashioned re-tube job). haven't had any problems since

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to call them so i don't know...i guess that's what you're looking for in an amp company. i know i'm not complaining

Overall Rating : 9
i've been playing guitar for 13 years and before the budda i had a fender princeton reverb, bandmaster, twin reverb, and a little tube works amp. this one blows them all away both in tone and volume. the fit and finish are superb. very clean internals. super simple, lightweight and sounds amazing. i guess a master volume knob would be nice, but not really necessary (especially if you're using a compressor or a power brake). i think it's a great product from a great company

I'm not sure what year mine was made. Never used the slave output, so far. This is a smoking loud amp, even doing the guitar volume rolloff as the owners manual recommended. I've used it once out gigging, and I fear it may only appear on larger stages or outdoors, or for recording.

Sound Quality : 10
Using tele's, strats, and a SG with P90's. This is a fantastic alt-country amp, roots rock, and even punk. It is what it is, and isn't the most versatile amp in the world, but it doesn't have to be. About half volume this thing is killer. Lots of note definition and growl when you need it. Touch sensitive.

Reliability : 10
Well I imagine its easy to service, its point to point hand wired, I'd think its safe to rely on.

Great, I emailed them and got a prompt response within a day. Great folks.

I bought mine used for a steal at $500. I'd be upset if it were stolen, but I'd be upset if they stole my Pro Jr. too. I'd like a power soak unit so I can crank it without deafening everyone. I've been playing a long time and have about five Fender amps and this is my first boutique. I'd buy it again, especially at the price I got it.

Budda Twin Master 10. Manufactured in 1996/97. All tube Amp, 2x12AXL preamp Valves,2x EL84 power amp Valves and Valve Rectifier. Single channel A/B class Head has two inputs,Normal and High Gain (I experimented with A/Bing the two inputs but it only responded to the Normal channel input!)Minimalistic amp, certainly not your standard "Swiss Pocket Knife" Sound modelling Amp which really suits my style, Classic Blues Rock. There are two main Tone controls; Bass/Treble and a Volume control which give you a surprising amount of Tone control (it took a while to work the tone controls out!) They seem to be Sweeping style EQ's.There's a Slave output and effects loop on the back panel neither which I've used so far.

Sound Quality : 10
I've found my ideal Tone with a Gibson Les Paul running into the High Gain input with a volume setting at One O'clock, Bass;9 O'clock Treble; 5 O'clock. The Twin Master is rated at 18 watts and giging with the amp is a dream.I run it through a Budda 2x10 cabinet both of which are light and portable and the stage Volume is extremely loud!
(I use a power brake two cut the volume back a few db's.There is no Volume/Master Volume controls). The Twin Master is nearly as loud as a 50 watt Plexi Marshall when run side by side! The Budda does produce a small degree of hiss, no where as loud as older style Valve amps in my experience. The Amp is designed the work in conjunction with the Guitars Volume pot and backing the pot off cleans up the sound although there is a decrease in stage volume too.It produces a natural Tube overdrive, nice sustain and harmonics, pushing the master Volume tends to compress the signal.

Reliability : 10
I've experienced no real problems with this Amps reliablitiy, but have had to replace Power and Preamp Valves.

Budda Sfaff are friendly too a point.I live in Australia and had a great deal of problems ordering replacement Valves, and was I feel, overcharged for freight,Waited agers, sent numerous Emails and could have got replacement Valves locally at 1/3 the total cost! The replacement Valves differed from the orginal Valves and if I'd known they were sendng me Russian Sovteks I'd have brought them here.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing this Amp since 1997 and is my main rig. I would definately own more Budda's and will purchase a 2nd Twin Master which I'd like to A/B with the original with slightly diferent Tone settings which will give me a mad Live Rig. I love it's simplicity and ease of use,it would have been cool if it had been channel switching but hey it's still a Rockin Amp!Incredible value for a Handmade Amp.

bought this amp head about two and a half years ago new. was looking for something cleaner, meaning that didn't have a bunch of knobs and having to adjust preamp volumes and master volumes and gains, ect.... i was using a boogie studio caliber. it was a great amp, but i wanted something different, as a player i was looking for something more simple, from clean to dirt depending on attack and the volume knob on the guitar. i found it. this is a great amp and very versatile. two imputs, one being cleaner than the other, but depending on your attack, you can get grit and dirt and more. i'm a blues/rock/jazz player. this amp isn't for metal heads. one channel, two imputs. you cant use them both. no channel switching. effects loop, yes. i've used this amp in med. sized places and small places ( i mean SMALL) and it's loud, even though only rated at 18 watts. more than enough power for what i'm using it for. point to point, hand wired. oh yeah, this one has a low serial #. i know budda is changing their product to pcb boards, but still make this model point to point. i havent had a chance to play any of their newer stuff, but hope they don't have that infamous quality slide thats often associated with growth.

Sound Quality : 10
strat, gibson, and a custom w/hot rails. it fits every style that i play. it does have a hum to it, but my understanding is that it is caused by some kind of ground loop, or lack of one....who cares....it sounds great!!! it can go from nice clean to thick jazz to great blues and rock tones. when cranked chords sound thick and full, nice and fat. single notes sing.

Reliability : 9
haven't had any problems yet and have used it consistantly for 2 1/2 years.

one year warranty, i think. its past for me, but i havent had any problems..if i did, i know where i'd take it......

Overall Rating : 9
20 yrs. i'd buy another if i could find one.....if they still sound as good as this one...... i'm using it with a boogie 1-12" thiele cab. sounds awesome.
