? BUDDA VIRBMASTER 4x10 combo I guess in the late 90?s it was built I bought it used off Ebay!! My style is all over Rock, Fusion, country, Jazz and blues it dose it all no deep metal. One channel FX loop and extension speaker out. Nothing extra needed it is fine as is!! Small club work home studio!

Sound Quality : 10
? Rio Grand strat pickups in my 69 Strat, Kinman vintage bridge in the Tele, Seth Lovers in the ES-335 Gibson Seth Lover in the neck and JB in the bridge In my Les Paul, Texas Specials in My other Strat as well as a Pearly gate in my other two Stratocaster?s
? Works well with all my styles!
? Real quiet except when I use my Budda Phatman pedal but not to bad!
? I also run a EH Russian BIG MUFF with a Maxon compressor at the lowest gain setting with my Paul and let me say I can get that ZZ Top sound to a Tee turn down the Volume on the JB and it sounds like Allman brothers Filmore live, this amplifier is in that transparent zone where you can use all sorts of pedals in front of it and it holds there sound true!
? Not a real Heavy driver amp, the high gain channel is AC-30 Marshall Plexi sounding but It is in its own class.

Reliability : 10

Volume, Bass, Treble, Reverb Level and Reverb Type. One Hi Gain input and one Normal input. On/Off and Stand by switches. There is an efects loop and Direct (recordingz0 out with a level in the back. a foot switch input (Reverb dual switch for reverb on/off and reverb type) That is the Layout. I personally never use the reverb footswitch, the effects loop or the rec out.
I play out 3-4 times a week and this is the only amp I use anymore. I have never reviewed an amp before but This beast and Budda deserve as much praise as can be had. This is a wonderful amp with more tone then anything else I have played EVER!!!

Sound Quality : 10
I play a 65 Fender Stratocaster and a 56 Fender Telecaster on a House Gig every Sunday Night where I host a Open Mic. I use the Budda with a Boss Turbo Overdrive and a Guytone tuner.(The Turbo Overdrive is an older MIJ with a drive switching option so I can get two variations of overdrive ou of it. ( I own a half dozen Older TS8's nd 9's and none sound as good as this one... go figure!)
I use the normal (low gain) input and overdrive with the pedal. The amp is run about 7-8 and I can get a ton of tones with the guitars volume control. From Blues to Rock... it is all there...
o
On my weeked gigs I do Pop and top 40 so I need a bit more options. I mic the Budda with a SM57 and put a but of delay in the mix. I Use a Fultone trem and a Carl Martin Comp with my Turbo Overdrive and Tuner all in front of the amp. This gives me everything I need for Modern rock,Pop and top 40 as well as all the rest. There is a smoothness to this mp I can't explain.

Reliability : 10
This Amp has been working every week for 13 months now. I replaced the stock EL84's with Teslas 2 weeks ago. still working with the origional preamp tubes. This is a Hot running Hand wired Point to point class A amp that has given me NO headaches...(Okay I get headaches after a long weekend sometimes but it is not the amps fault!)

There has got to be something said about NEVER NEEDING TO MAKE A SINGLE CALL TO THE COMPANY. The authorized repair center is Budda... (My Bogner has been back to Bogner 2 times. There service is better then there amps reliabality) I guess my point is as wonderful as my Bogner sounds and there service is. Never needing service is better!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 25+ years, I hve a Matchless DC30, a Bad Cat Black Cat, a THD Bi Valve, a Bogner Caveman, a Orange AD30, a Brittone B50, a Brittone B45, a 65 twin... just to name a few. I have never given a review on any other amp before. this one is it for me. If I lost it I would Cry. It inspires me to play better. It gets me excited and I jump around like a maniac and make silly faces and pretend I am a rock star... Okay when I play it I am a rock star. I guess the only thing I hate about it is having to put it away every night.

Don't know the year of manufacturing. Two channels but no channel switching; nevertheless, amp is versatile enough when played with. Budda has several styles of amp and this one has its own distinct sounds but is missing others: for example, the Superdrive has a different sounding overdrive sound, and the Stringmaster has more varieties of souped-up vender sting. I wish it had a midrange control. Used by itself, it is too loud because there is no master volume switch and I use the amp in studios and small clubs; however, with a THD Hotplate attenuator the volume is controllable, although the trade-off is a slight degradation in tone. The amp has few doohickies; it is built simply and for tone; for me, that's perfect, because I use no effects. But because it has few devices, my rating for "features" is relatively low.

Sound Quality : 10
My main guitar is a PRS Hollowbody II with humbuckers. I also have a Sadowsky built strat made of Dimarzio parts. The amp suits my style perfectly: I can get blues sounds from Stevie Ray to Robin Ford by adjusting the knobs and choosing which input to use. Again, I lose a little tone when I use the attenuator, and the attenuator is, unfortunately necessary. The amp is quiet. The clean channel at high volumes yields the Stevie Ray sting. The high gain channel yields a smooth distortion I can use for Robin Ford, Larry Carlton, old Steely Dan and even Eric Clapton/Cream sounds. It doesn't get more brutal than that. I cannot, for example, get that nasty Mark Knopfler sound from "Money for Nothing," although I used to be able to do it on a Huges & Kettner Tube 50. The quality of the sound is superb. I wish I had a couple of more Buddas so I could enjoy the full spectrum of quality sounds they offer.

Reliability : No Opinion
Haven't had it long enough to be able to judge. I'm a little concerned that the rectifier tube may be more exposed than is healthy.

I've had several e-mail conversations with Scott at Budda, and he's been very helpful. It was he, in fact, who suggested the Hotplate. When I got too technical, he suggested I speak with Jeff instead but the occasion never arose. Scott told me there is no local service for these amps; you have to ship 'em back to the factory. So let's hope nothing ever goes wrong. I bought mine used so I don't think warranty is an issue.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing 35 years. My other current amp is a 1974 wood-cabinet Boogie Mark I. If this amp were stolen, I would seek another Budda; I don't know if it would be this model or another. I love the tone of it. I hate having to use an attenuator. I compared it to my Boogie and to my Hughes & Kettner. It was far more articulate than either. I chose this one because it was the first Budda I'd seen, and I had to have it.
