Custom designed and custom built by Rob @ Buffalo
I was looking for a low wattage amp based on the old Gibson Tweeds of the late 50s and early 60s. I don't use effects and like to overdrive a small tube amp. I needed something that would do what my GA-30 does but at a lower volume for some of the clubs we play in. I stumble across Buffalo Amps. Turns out Rob has been building spec Gibson GA-20 amps for sometime. You don't know about Gibson Tweeds? Then move on Baby
After talking to Rob I knew he knew what I wanted and needed out of a small amp. He was able to build me a modified version of a GA-20 circuit in a custom built cabinet with a louvered front and a 15" speaker (gotta see it to believe it)

This amp does what I want it to do, when I want it to
Great response, I control the amp with the volume on my Tele
Its simple and simple is good
I have a Blues and Soul Band with a 3pc Horn section
Back off on the volume, amp cleans up and I'm doing Motown
Crank up the volume, amp cuts thru the horns and I'm doing Albert King
I use this amp in very small bars around the DC area
When you have an 8pc band, that's a fat band (a lot of mid range)It's not easy to cut thru it without blowing out everyone eardrums. This amp was the answer I was looking for (praise the lord)

Only one problem, when the UPS man "dropped" it on my doorstep
(I heard it hit the ground from upstairs)
I emailed Rob that the amp had arrived and was not working
Rob called me up, the man called me up (long distance)
Had me ship it back to him, he repaired
The he called me up again and confirmed it was repaired
He then shipped it out overnight at his expense so I would have it for the next gig (that is what they use to call service)
No problems since

I've been playing for damn near 40 yrs
If lost? I could never understand this,
what you were too drunk at the end of the gig and left it sitting in the parking lot when you drove off? You didn't lose it, the amp left you moron
if stolen I'd beat the hell out the first person
I found with the same amp (its a one of a kind)
Then I'd call Rob and have him build me another
(cause certain parts of the original stayed with that first person)
Its all about the tone
9 out of 10 guitar players don't know what it is or how to find it
and that's OK. It just leaves that much more for the rest of us
Anything I wished it had? How about a sister
