120 Watt switchable to 60 watt tube head manufactured by Bugera a division of Behringer. Single input dual channel, both channels share the same EQ. This Amp also comes with an F/X loop with its own line level, and it also has a filtered recording output. A foot switch is supplied for switching between channels and activating the digital reverb.

Sound Quality : 10
Right..first thing I'll say is this amp is LOUD, you will have no problems being heard!!(the other guitar player in the band was telling me to turn down...for a change)The EQ section is your basic treble/mid/bass and presence it works well and is more than adequate for Metal/Rock or Blues. The clean channel is crisp and clear and the digital reverb sounds good. The Lead channel goes from the raw just a hint of distortion to a nice heavy overdriven distortion, and it's clean and not muddy at all. For the price of this amp the sound quality is impressive.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've had this amp for 3 weeks, so time will tell. When I first got it I pulled the chassis out and had a look, the workmanship appears good and solid. As I stated above for the price I'm impressed!!Would I use it at a gig without a backup...no...but that's me and that's not saying anything bad about this head, it doesn't matter what name is on the front **** happens...better to be prepared.

I've been playing for 30 years. Our band is Hard Rock in the AC/DC vein and the 1990 fits to a tee. This amp for the price is an absolutely killer deal I looked at Marshall, Mesa...the usual suspects, and they were triple the price. I read every online review I could about the 1990 and I liked what I was reading, so I took the plunge and bought it and the Bugera 412K-BK slant cab...and I couldn't be happier. The bottom line is: if you're looking to get a tube amp, and you don't want to break the bank, do yourself a favour and check this amp out.

Great features. Two channels. Easy tube replacement and re-biasing. Effects loop with input control. Impeadence selection. Come with foot switch. 120 watts. Could have given each channel it's own EQ. Reverb sounds great.

Sound Quality : 7
Supposed to be a copy of a JCM 900. Sounds close. A bit tinny and not alot of bass. So it's a good copy. Drive channel sounds good but not a real thrasher for metal styles.

Reliability : 1
I bought it new and played it for one hour and it made a buzzing noise and shut off. It came back on after about 15 seconds but shuts off about every 2 to 3 minutes always reverting back to the clean channel.

No opinion on this since I purchased it on line. I returned it immediately with no problems from the site I purchased it from. No dealings with Bugera at all.

Overall Rating : 1
Sounded good when it worked. I would not recommend purchasing this product until they work the bugs out.

120 Watt switchable down to 60 watt Hi Gain Valve Head with digital reverb, shared EQ plus every desirable option on rear panel.

Sound Quality : 10
This is a very well made amplifier and when taking into account the price it is unbelievable.Very close to the JCM900's and 800's I own for a fraction of the price crystal cleans and brutal gain and all points in between.
.What's the catch?, there isn't one from what I can see.

Reliability : No Opinion
To new to rate however the construction and component quality is right up there with the top manufacturers.

I have been playing for 35 years and have owned/own all the vintage and "sought " after stuff from Marshall/Hiwatt/Boogie.For three hundered pounds I'm astounded at the quality of this amp, the sheer sound quality that is available and the quality of the components that have been used ( transformers/Chokes and the like). If you want monster sounds without the monster price then buy a Bugera.
This 1990 is supposed to be a JCM900 clone and I beleive they also offer likwise regarding a plexi, 5150 and Dual rectifier.

Two channel el34 all tube head with dual digital reverb. Only lacking in dual eq, but this never bothers me as it always seems with dual eq's comes less tone.

Sound Quality : 10
Let me start out by saying I expected a JCM900 4100 clone. Thank god it isn't! It sounds much better than that! I first tried out a Mesa stiletto ace for an hour before trying this one and the ace was definately getting that 800 vibe. I plugged into this expecting a letdown only to find out it upstaged the mesa by alot. This is more of a hotrodded pissed off plexi tone - very brown and nails the 80's tone. This does a better job at Slash's early tone than my Marshall Vintage Modern does. My settings on lead channel were gain between 11 and 22, presence 10 o'clock, treble at noon, mids all the way up, bass at 3 o'clock. The clean channel was excellent, with just a little grit dialed in I could get hendrix easily, and with the gain dimed, It sound like a cranked plexi! Responded almost as good as my Marshall to volume knob roll back to clean up. Reverb is similar to whats on my Marshall. Sound good with moderate use. At $450 I'm buying one of these!, Hell at $1450 I would!

Reliability : No Opinion
Most problems I've heard about with bugeras were early production units using clips that fail requiring solder to fix, and they have supposedly fixed these issues. Never gig without a backup. My Marshall Vintage Modern was 3 months old when it had the fx loop take a dump, so I'm sure these are no worse than current marshalls!

Don't know yet.

$450 for this much tone? You got to be kidding? This can hang with a good Vintage Marshall, no problem. I'm buying one when funds allow. I also own a Marshall Vintage Modern, Peavey 6505+, Randall rg100 es and 80 es combo. I liked the sound of this better than any of these.
