I bought this amp in February. It's versatility is good enough for a 2 channel amp. I can footswitch between two completely different sounds or two similar sounds depending on how I set the knobs.

I don't use the reverb much although it does sound nice.

The amp has plenty of power when I'm playing in my band with our extremely loud drummer.

Sound Quality : 9
I use an Ibanez Xiphos, Epiphone G-400 and Sheraton. All of these guitars sound really good through this amp. I play almost everything and with these three guitars I can get almost any sound I want out of this amp minus twangy country for which I would need a tele.

The amp has a little hiss on the gain channel but it's not back. The clean channel does break up at the higher level which I like a lot.

The clean is very trebly! I find myself keeping my presence and treble knobs down very low to get a warm clean sound. The crunch channel is great for all kinds of rock and classic metal. The lead channel is super heavy and has tons of gain. I feel like the eq knobs don't do a lot.

Besides all of this...it's a great sounding amp for the price. I don't think there is anything else out there for this price that sounds as good. I definitely think it is just as good as any Peavey amp and I have own Peavey before. The other guy in my band also has a 6505+.

They sound very similar. Very brutal heavy sound. I don't even use a boost anymore.

Reliability : 9
I have had it since February and haven't had any problems. I take it to weekly band practice and crank it up and no problems. Nothing, don't let people tell you that they may sound good but have bad reliability. I haven't had any reliability problems and my buddy has one too and he hasn't had any problems either. Just because it's made in china doesn't mean it's bad quality. You would be surprised at how much stuff in your house is chinese made!

Customer Support : 9
I've dealt with customer support only to find out more info. Everytime they e-mail me back in like 10 minutes. They are extremely nice. I always talk with Rolf over e-mail. He's a good guy and is always helpful. Don't listen to people saying the customer service is bad. I called Behringer about it before I bought my amp and the girl I talked to on the phone played in a band and we talked about gear for like 20 minutes.

Overall Rating : 9
I hear so many people bad mouth Bugera. Yet anyone who has every played one doesn't bad mouth them. They may not love them but they can't deny that they sound good and are a good deal. There are a lot of people that will say that something sucks just because it's cheap and that's just their way of feeling better about spending alot of money on their amp.

Bugera amps are great! I have fun when I play mine. It sounds good. The tones I get inspire me to play more. The amp is easy to get great sounds out of.

If you have the money to spend on a high end amp go for it!

If you want a good sounding amp and aren't afraid about it saying Bugera on the front...get one

At least go to a store and try one out. You may not buy one but I think you will be impressed.

See below, in reliability, for full explanation.

Sound Quality : 5
Very brutal, but lifeless sounding distortion on the lead channel. Crunch channel and it's voicings are very Marshall sounding. Clean was just that, clean.

Reliability : 3

I work at a small music store. We sell guitars, amps, pa and gear and also handle repairs on these sorts of things. A customer brought in a 2008 Bugera 6262 head that he complained about the power tubes not firing and no output. Our amp tech went through the entire amp and found a number of small time-saver constructions issues. The main one, and the cause of the amp failing as he explained to me, was that the transformer cable was connected to the tube section with a clip. It was not soldered. The clip is not capable of reliably handling the 5 amp current and will eventually smoke itself and fail on you. It's just a design flaw that's easily fixed, but keep this in mind when you gig without a back up. Have a good amp tech look it over and hand-solder that connection. It should be just as reliable as any other tube amp from then on. Bugera may have fixed this with more recent amps, but I have no way of knowing that.

Customer Support : 10
They supplied schematics for the amp, no problem.

Overall Rating : 3
Decent amp for metal and hardcore styles and most things up to that point that call for a very scooped distortion. Beware the reliability flaw I explained above, though. Remember, Bugera is a Behringer brand and Behringer is infamous in the industry for being cheaply made, unreliable garbage. They will replace your broken gear, but they can't and won't fix it. I was surprised they gave us the schematic to the amp. Basically, their stuff works well until it doesn't work at all and that often happens sooner rather than later.

Made probably in 2008, bought it on the 30th august. quite a versatile amp. I mostly play hard rock/classic rock and it does that quite well on the crunch channel. 2 channel valve amplifier, it takes 6l6's but is convertable to el34. The clean channel has a crunch button and a bright button for a sweet high end boost for bluesy sounds. The footswitch is useful but i wish it had a switch for the crunch channel. The footswitch itself has switchs for the lead channel the clean channel the reverb and the fx loop. I often use this amp at home to practice, but have cranked the amp to half way before stuff fell off shelves. I would have absolutely no problem gigging with this amp.

Sound Quality : 9
At the moment i am using an epiphone sg special guitar, and does not give the amp its true potential. Although, the lead channel is incredibly gainy. I can't see myself putting it past 3 for rhythems. I am a lead guitarist and use the crunch channel for verse work and really only use the lead channel for solo-ing. Note clarity is important to me when i solo on the lead channel, but the notes cut through the high amounts of gain it has. There is feedback but then i am playing within 4-5 metres of the amp. Cleans are usable and nice sounding with my neck pickup. The reverb goes from subtle to echo-y and has a good sweep. Presence control is great for going from dark metals tones straight to 70's rock.

Reliability : No Opinion
Havn't had it for long, seems well built though. Tube amps are notoriously fickle though, so i shall treat it with care.

Havn't had the amp for long, no repairs but you get warrenty after registration on their website.

I have been playing for quite a while and have owned numerous other amps, but mostly solid state crap. I love this amp but if it were lost or stolen, i might take a closer look at the crate v100h but would definatly consider this one very highly. I would like to swap the tubes for svetlana el34's to get more of a crunch from the amp. Overall this is a great amp for the money and has stunning looks all over.

Conceived in 2008 Very versitile amp for many styles of music. I play mostly aggressive hardcore metal though. I do wish the crunch channel had an option to switch to on the clean but now big deal cuz i will throw a distortion pedal in there to fix that. Plenty o'power, only had it up to 2 an it goes head to head with my solid state Randall 200 watt.

Sound Quality : 10
Well I'm used to my solid state Randall but this has some serious sound. Perfect for metal rhythm and was not dissapointed, the notes actually come through very clear. Presense on both channels is awesome. Takes some tweaking but I got my tone after about two hours playing around with it. The clean channel is warm an sweet too.

Reliability : No Opinion
Hope to use it as a main head, but will bring my Randall as a backup just in case. Not that I don't have any faith but hey u never know what can happen.

Customer Support : No Opinion

I haven't had the thing that long but I would deffinately pick up this head. Thinkin about the 333xl too before it goes up in price. But u can't go wrong especially if you play any kind of metal.

Got the Bugera a week ago. I've been playing it almost non-stop since. It's a 120W all-tube head with 2 channels (lead and clean/crunch), seperate EQ sections, separate presence and reverb controls for the channels, an ohm switch, an effect loop and a footswitch. It's got everything I was looking for in an amp and the only flaw in this department is that you can't switch between all the 3 channels with the footswitch.

Sound Quality : 10
I play mainly metalcore and post-hardcore with the amp but also rock/metal in general. I play it with a Korean made Epiphone Vintage SG with Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a 59 in the neck through a Harley Benton 2x12 cab w/ Celestion Vintage 30's. The amp has THE sound for me and I played quite a lot of amps before I finally bought this one. First of, the clean channel was a pleasent surprise. It isn't as warm and smooth as an Orange AD30 but still it's among the best in hi-gain-amps I've played (the other good ones being Engl). Can do clean or a little break-up, which ever works for you. Both sound real nice. Crunch channel isn't really special in any way but it gets the job done. Good but not excellent. The real gem of this amp is the lead channel. Brutal, massive and liquid without getting lost in the mix. If you don't crank the presence, you can't get a bad sound out of it. Forget Mesa, forget Peavey, buy Bugera!!

Reliability : No Opinion
No problems so far.

I've been playing for 9 years. I've played the following amps: Orange AD30, Orange Tiny Terror, Orange Rocker 30, Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier, Marshall TSL100, Marshall JCM900, Randall RG75, Marshall Valvestate 100, Line6 SpiderII, Marshall AVT50, Peavey 5150II, Peavey Bandit, Engl Thunder, Engl Screamer, Roland Cube30 and Microcube, Engl Fireball...I propably have forgot a couple but at least these. The Bugera is my favourite together with Orange AD30. Don't let the cheap price tag fool you because for any heavier style of music Bugera is number 1!!

Three channels, clean, crunch, and lead. 4, 8, 16 ohm out puts which really make a difference in tone. Individual reverb and presence control and a switchable effects loop via foot switch.

Sound Quality : 8
Well, this is were it counts. The amp sounds great. The lead channel has that mid sweet spot right out of the box, you can scoop them out pretty good and the highs aren't so bad. To aid in the highs I threw in some Mesa Boogie 12ax7a Russian 2's in the front of the preamp section to change the voicing. Everyone knows Russian 12ax7's have a flatter high range and combined with Chinese at the end I get the best of both worlds. The amp is pretty quite, even with the gain dimed out. I run a boss NS-2 in front of the amp and it is dead quite. String attack and palm mute runs are easy and natural feeling ( not digital ). The crunch channel is a lot of fun. Great tone for classic rock and blues. The clean channel is were this amp lacks. Since it was modeled after the 6505 that explains it. I use EMG's and I really can't get a totally clean sound from this channel without ruining the over all tone of the clean channel. That's okay I just roll back on the volume a bit and there it is. My only complaint is the amp lacks low end. It has low end, but not enough for me, so I put an EQ in the effects loop and gave it some more. Other than that it is great. It is loud as hell and I mean it, wow. I am pushing two 4x12's easy with this thing.

Reliability : 6
Has plenty of power and doesn't work too hard out waking the neighbors. Foot switch is tough, but the cable that comes with it is not, so don't step on it if you don't have to.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know, hope I never will.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Great amp. Doesn't sound like a Mesa, I know this is my Mesa's back-up. Does it sound like a 5150, 6505. Probably better. More head room , a better clean and a hell of a lot louder, plus you can achieve a good tone with out having cranked all to hell like most tube amps. It's nice having a loop and reverb via foot switch. What can I say it's a brutal killing machine.

A fairly new product to the tube amp world. Have always been searching for my perfect tone and of course a tube amp would do that. I mostly play metal and this amp met my needs. It has channel switching, reverb which the channel remembers reverb, effects loop switchable, six preamp tubes, four 6l6. 120w. This was my main amp, I have no other.

Sound Quality : 10
The distortion channel needs an eq in the effects loop to cut down on some of that brittleness. After that, it was awsome. Clean is clear and crisp, crunch, well, is crunch. A little noise, which is expected from a high gain amp, noise supressor can control that. You can get a wide range of sounds from this amp just by teaking. Lots of headroom in the clean channel.

Reliability : 1
Here is the moment every Peavey owner has been waiting for. If you notice, I always said (was). I bought this amp three months ago, it has been working fine, today I turn on the on switch, but leave the standby off as normal, I wait a few seconds while I am plugging in my guitar, flip the standby switch, no sound. I check all my cables both instrument and speaker, and everything is plugged in, cables are good pedals are good, guitar is good. I then look at the tubes, only four of the preamp tubes were glowing, and none of the power amp tubes were on. The amp is completely dead, brand new. Now I got to take it back and ship it off. Yes, I am in a working band also. Thanks alot Bugera!

Customer Support : No Opinion
We are about to find this out! When I bought the amp, I called the number provided with the manual, they said if there were problems with it I would have to exchange it. To bad I had to special order it because no store around me carries this amp.

Overall Rating : 1
It does not matter how versital or how good an amp sounds if the thing cant work in the first place. I hope I can exchange it, the exchange period may be up already though.

OKAY THIS IS TO EVEN THE PLAYING FIELD OUT....YOU GUITAR GUYS...I'M ONE OF YOU...ARE REALLY SOMETHING...YOU HEAR WITH YOUR EYES AND WALLETS...THE WORD CHINA SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ANY SNOB...HELLO THIS AMP WAS DESIGNED IN GERMANY!!!! YOU KNOW WHERE MERCEDES COMES FROM WHERE BMW COMES FROM WHERE VOLKSWAGON COMES FROM...ANYWAY LETS LOOK AT THIS CORRECTLY...THE USA IS GUILTY OF THIS TOO...BUGERA IS ASSEMBLED WHERE THE LABOR IS CHEAPEST WITH TIGHT QUALITY CONTROL...THESE ARE HAND MADE AMPS OF BOUTIQUE QUALITY...THE SAME QUALITY EXISTS IN GERMANY AT HUHGES AND KETTNER...BUT THE LABOR COSTS MORE,AND SO DO THE AMPS....GET IT? THIS AMP IS EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS MY MESA TRIPLE REC....PERIOD!!!

Sound Quality : 10
THIS AMP DOES IT ALL WELL...BUT KIDDIES YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL TO LET THE TUBES WARM AND COOL BEFORE YOU THROW IT IN THE GIG VAN...ITS THE DOWN FALL OF ALL TUBE AMPS THEY ARE DELICATE...SOLID STATE IS BETTER FOR GARAGE BANDS THAT ARE ROUGH ON THEIR EQUIPMENT...THE PROBLEM IS THIS AMP IS THAT ITS AFFORDABLE BY ALL AND THAT ALTERS THE STATISTICS OF RELIABILITY A BIT. IT IS BY ALL ACCOUNTS A BOUTIQUE AMP AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS IF IT COST THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS, THEN IT WILL LAST YOU A LIFETIME. THE AMP IS BUTTERY AND BRUTAL AND ALL FLAVORS IN BETWEEN...I'VE USED IT WITH ACTIVE AND PASSIVE PICKUPS STRATS AND GIBSONS ITS JUST A GREAT AMP!!! AGAIN AS GOOD AS ALL SNOBBY PRICED STUFF!!! MY FRIEND HAS AN EVH III AND THIS IS LOUDER...TAKE THAT EDDIE!!

Reliability : 10
I WOULD GIG WITH A BACKUP ALWAYS POWER SPIKES CAN RUIN YOUR DAY ...I DO USE A LINE CONDITIONER THAT REGULATES THE OUTLET VOLTAGE TO AN EXACT 120 AND ABSORBS SPIKES AND RAISES BROWN OUTS...A GOOD IDEA WITH ANY AMP ESPECIALLY A TUBE MODEL....WHAT BOUTIQUE LOVER ON HERE HAS RECOMMENDED THAT HUH? I MAY HAVE ONLY SPENT HALF A GRAND BUT THIS IS MY SOUND AND TO ME THATS PRICELESS...YOU KNOW LIKE THAT OLD PAIR OF JEANS THAT MR. BMW HAS IN HIS CLOSET AT HOME TO WEAR AROUND THE HOUSE SO NOONE SEES HE'S NORMAL. C'MON PEOPLE LETS GET REAL...OUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS AMBITION THANK FULLY MY MESA TRIPLE REC WAS NOT MADE ON FRIDAY AT THREE O'CLOCK.
THAT WOULD BE DISHONORABLE IN CHINA TO LET QA CATCH A PROBLEM IN ASSEMBLY THAT YOU CAUSED OUT OF LAZINESS.....THIS AMP IS JUST GREAT DEAL WITH IT!!!

Customer Support : 8
GERMANY HAS TRADE ISSUES WITH THE US. ANOTHER REASON FOR CHINA ASSEMBLY SO CONTACT IS ALSO DIFFICULT. I HAVE NOT HAD ISSUES OR A NEED FOR CONTACT WITH THE COMPANY BUT, THEY DO SUPPORT THE PRODUCT IN OREGON SO RETURNING IT FOR REPAIR SHOULD POSE NO ADDITIONAL PROBLEM. TREATED CORRECTLY ACCORDING TO WARRANTY INFORMATION ENCLOSED IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME...I SUGGEST YOU ACTUALLY READ IT KIDS THIS IS IMPORTANT INFO.

Overall Rating : 10
BEEN PLAYING 30+ YEARS...AND I'VE HAD AND PLAYED ALOT OF AMPS...RANDALL,BUDDA,MESA,MARSHALL,GALIEN KRUEGER,AND SOLDANO TO NAME A FEW....THIS AMP ROCKS..HAS MORE BOTTOM END THAN A 5150 OR 6505 AND IS LOUDER THAN A EVH 5150 III..( BY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE SAME 5150 III CABINET )...GERMANS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN KNOWN FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS AND THE CHINESE ARE DEDICATED QUALITY ASSEMBLERS...BETTER ALL THE TIME THATS WHY THE USA IS HURTING TODAY...WE'RE LAZY. TO PUT IT SIMPLY IF THIS AMP WAS MADE IN CALIFORNIA TO EXACT SPECS IT WOULD BE ALOT MORE COSTLY EASILY $2000. A GREAT AMP...ALOT CHEAPER THAN A BOGNER OR OTHER EXPENSIVETIQUE AMP!!!

Amp was built early 2008. Features 2 channels, clean and Lead. The clean can switch to rhythm. it has two complete sets of EQ and switchable reverb for both channels. Sports six 12AX7 tubes and 4 TAD-made 6L6 tubes. It also has an fx loop and selectable speaker impedance. Very loud amp and rather well made.

Sound Quality : 9
I use various Strats with single coils and various humbucker loaded les pauls, SG's and Ibanez's. This amp adapts to all kinds of pickups. You adjust the volume controls on your guitar and you get your tone. When overdriven, it cleans up pretty well when backing off on the guitar volume. It has tons of gain and gets plenty of overdrive to satisfy most metal heads. Awesome for 80's-90's metal but can do blues and jazz by adjusting the controls accordingly. if fitted with EL34's, it will get that gnarly, gritty and punchy british tone. In my experience, I don't believe this is a 5150 knock-off. Although it can sound close to it, it has it's own thing going on and it is unfair to say that it is a Peavey copy. The control plate may look familiar but that's where it ends. All the people who are bashing this amp should be playing a solid state amp.

Reliability : 9
Seems like it is pretty dependable but it is too early to tell. I've owned it for about a month and had no problems with it yet. Time will tell. A peek inside the chassis reveals smaller than usual filter capacitors, but the tube sockets are al made of ceramic material. While the pots are flimsy, it does use metal film resistors and decent quality coupling capacitors. Also worth mentioning is the chrome plated tranformers do not get even warm - which is a good sign. I've replaced the power tubes with EL34's because of my taste. However, I believe that the TAD branded factory loaded 6L6 tubes are just fine. A definite plus is the ability to change between 6L6 and EL34 power tubes by using a chassis mounted switch and adjusting the bias by connecting a multimeter to an RCA plug while turning the mini pot next to it.

Customer Support : 1
They kind of suck. I've emailed them (behringer and bugera) a couple of times but never got an answer back. I hope I will never need them as I'm sure they hope to have to deal with their customers as little as possible. Anyway, I'm trained in electronics and the only thing I would ask of customer service is a schematic of the amp. (Many companies include a schem of the amp with the product the sell) However, Behringer seems to have a ****** up policy about sharing this kind of information, so in my book, they blow - big time.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing 20 years and will be playing for another 20....
This amp is definitely worth buying at this price - all tube, except for reverb, which is pretty nice, and loud as hell on top of a 4X12 Vintage 30 cab. Great tone all around, looks great and seems like it's built pretty well. Behringer may be shaping up after all....
