I've had the new 6262 212 combo for a couple of months now and have to say that it's a pretty amazing unit...irrespective of its rock bottom price.

2 channel with a crunch on the clean channel and a high gain lead.

Sep presence, reverb, selectable bias so you can EASILY use different valves like EL34s instead of the 6L6s.

Effects loop, metal switch, SOLID build (re: heavy) 10 valves all up.

REALLY REALLY loud. Probably WAY too loud for home use but what can you do...it's a crap solid state thing for Bugera cash. So it's the Bugera beast by a friggen country mile over a solid state.

Could play Jazz (check the Bugera site for the Jazz guy rippin it up), classic rock (Led Zep, ACDC), clean Blues (on clean with a humbucker), or distorted Blues (crunch), and heavy (hard) rock on the lead channel. Metal would likely do well too as it's modelled on the Peavey 5150 II that Eddie Van Halen put his name too.

Wish I could select the crunch channel via the footswitch (it's a CRIME we can't)...but when the warranty is up, I'll get it modded for this.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds awesome with a Ibanez Satriani and a Tele with P-90s. Clean is REALLY punchy and clean even turned up to gigging levels (gigging will be EASY with this amp as it's got massive balls). Crunch is classic all the way. Blues, rock - easy stuff.

Lead channel screams beautifully when cranked (re: 4-5) and I'm not talking noise either. Kick arse power.

Heaps of bottom end once you get it over 2. Though at home practice levels it's still pretty punchy from about 1 1/2. 2 is LOUD for practice. 3 is ear hurting. 4 is playing outside of the room loud with a closed door and a neighbour on the phone to the cops. From there on it???s gigging with a coked up drummer loud.

It's really quiet...no noise considering I expected a little because of the cascading gain stages and the 6 x 12AX7 pre-amp valves and 4 x 6L6 power valves.

I have been able to get all sorts of sounds out of it and yes I LOVE this amp.

I've owned an original modded Marshall 100 watt JCM-800 head and quad box. This is SO much better.

I've played plexi's, Vox's, Fenders and new age Marshalls and this is basically as good as a 3 grand (Aus $) Marshall, nearly as flexible (if only for that switchable crunch) and cleans out the room for anything that is under 2 grand.

Yeah it's not a Big Dog or a crazy expensive boutique amp but it's built well, kicks some seriously feral arse, sounds really great, and is so cheap ANYONE you play with will be majorly impressed and consider buying one after their expensive amp doesn't work it over.

Using a distortion pedal is kinda sacrilege as mentioned above/below as it just sounds so good by itself.

I've got a Line 6 POD and for the same money its valves all the way baby. I like my pod and it's been a trojan, but it's just not in the game for tone, dynamics etc. Great practice, recording, lower volume PA unit though. But I'd buy the Bugera any day.

Reliability : 8
So far so good. Behringer is known for good warranties. Usually it's just a straight swap if things go bang (here in Aus anyway). It's built solidly as stated above with good internals. I like it so much that if anything pops out of warranty I'm going to get it fixed and modded - that crunch switch, new transformers, whatever it takes as I know tone and I can't be bothered spending BIG bucks for something that doesn't sound any better than the Bug.

Long term reliability...well there have been the usually nuffies going on about how crap they are. After talking with a number of amp techs and sellers they stated that there are just the same number of amps from other manufacturers going back for work. It's a VALVE amp...not a solid state and so WILL NOT be as reliable as such. Get used to it, don't drop it down stairs or kick it over in your trash band or let it fall out of the ute and it should be fine.

Anyway I'll assess any weakness (it???s only Ver. 1 as they haven???t been making them for 30 years) and fix any issues out of warranty. It's worth it.

Customer Support : 9
Rang Behringer about a query with a PA...rang me back the same day and a knowledgeable tech worked through the query professionally. So top marks there. Easy to contact and my other Behringer gear from years past still works perfectly (Mixer, V Amp for Bass).
12 month warranty with a likely option of direct replacement during that time if it dies.

Overall Rating : 10
Started playing 6 months ago with dedication (1 ?? - 2 hours a day), played for 15 years when I was younger. Nearly 40 now.

If it was lost, destroyed etc...I would get the EXACT same amp. Other amps I might get down the track is a Big Dog for blues and a Fender for that 'particular' tone. You know what I mean. But they are pretty much one trick ponies unlike this amp.

But for a do it all amp. It's arse kicken good.

I compared it to NUMEROUS EXPENSIVE amps. Spent hours checking them out and it's stands by itself with great sound and a CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP price.

Wish it had that crunch switch. Apart from that it's basically perfect. Well maybe adding a way to play it a little quieter as it's REALLY loud (like the Orange Tiny Terror half the wattage switch).

So, if you want a top notch amp with awesome tones where you could realistically buy 3 for the price for a good fender, marshall, peavey etc, buy a Bugera 6262 212.

Tone stands proudly on its own. It's not struggling here believe me. Build quality is solid and it should be dependable. 1/3 the price of other brands.

I may even get some other Bugera amps down the track as AU$899 was a steal. Allans currently list them for $849...that???s just crazy.

The Bugera 333 is a Satriani clone and is more metal orientated. You decide; they are both getting 4 1/2 stars from professional reviewers.

Check out this link...if this doesn't sell you, you shouldn't be playing guitar.

All tube, six 12ax7 preamp and four 6L6 power valves.

Fantastic cleans: clean channel has a bright switch plus a crunch switch that IMHO is ideal for an AC/DC, Buckcherry, Zep, etc. tone. Absolutely perfect. This channel also has it's own presence and reverb controls which is a BIG advantage over similar amps. Very simple, useful design.

Sick leads: The lead channel also has it's own presence and reverb controls. Again, pretty straightforward as to the gain, eq controls. The gain is truly linear and has so much control.

Has a standby switch which (should be) a "given" with an amp of this caliber.

The amp comed with a very rugged footswitch that has LED's for easy view on stage. The switch is heavy enough so that it won't drift away from you on stage. Long cable so you can really place it anywhere.

Rear panel has a preamp out for the board (although you should really mic this thing because the Bugera drivers are beautiful!). Also has an effects loop (please don't put a distortion pedal into this amp. You're cheating yourself)

Rear panel also has an impedance-switchable option and an external speaker jack. Stick a quality 2x12 cabinet across the stage and fill the room.

Construction is extremely solid. Heavy. 2x12 tube amp. It's going to be heavy.

Overall features are exactly what you need and nothing that you don't.

A very cool option (that I may never use) is the ability to switch out the 6L6 power tubes for EL34's. It has a bias switch inside which allows you to do this with ease. A great feature for british rock.

Sound Quality : 10
I had choices when purchasing my 2x12 combo. The sound of this amp sold me within seconds. Not noisy at all. You can really dial any tone you want for any style of music. In all cases, whether clean or overdriven, it drives right through the mix exceptionally well. Played it last night and had the lead and the clean channels both on "1" and the engineer mic'd the amp. Absolutely perfect.

Pinch harmonics are so pure. The amp is totally responsive, gets tame when you roll back the guitar volume. On the lead channel, I only needed the gain at about "4" and it was great. The tone I emulate is a Tremonti / Rombola (Godsmack) / Brad Noah (Disciple) sound and this thing does the job.

Set it up at home after the gig and did some low volume clean jazz stuff and it's awesome. The reverb is extremely good.

I looked at and played the Peavey Valvekings, a B-52 AT212 and a couple of Crate's. This was my choice hands down. Mesa / Splawn sounds in a Bugera. It's there.

Reliability : No Opinion
Just got it. However, I did heavy research and these amps are actually hand assembled. The components are all made within one factory except for the tubes (of course). I really think it's solid.

Purchased at Guitar Center. They take care of me very well. I'm not concerned.

Overall Rating : 10
Bottom line, this is THE amp for me.

The heads are supposed to be just as good. Bugera speakers have always been fantastic.

I'm completely satisfied.

Amp premiered a few months ago, so 2008.
This is an all tube amplifier, and you can hear it. They are not lying when they say you can play any type of music with this thing. Has I think two and a half channels. Clean with a Crunch subchannel, and Lead which is the distortion channel. The features are pretty awesomne, but lack in some areas. It has more tubes than I can remember, each channel gets its own reverb, presence control, and EQ which is a HUGE plus.
However, I wish that the included footswitch could let me access the Crunch hands free. Also, with active pickups, EMGs in particular, the clean channel can sound a little bit distorted. This can be remedied by lowering the volume on the active guitar, but it would have been nice to have an active switch or input.
I would give the amp a 10 for features, but the two things that it lacks, makes me give it the 8. Amazing amp, just wish it had those two features, the active pad and Crunch switch on the footswitch

Sound Quality : 10
Fender Stratocaster (superstrat): EMG 85 bridge only
Fender Highway 1 telecaster: Seymour Duncan Vintage 54s

I play a metal style that incorporates elements of blues. Think Alice in Chains, Down, Corrosion of Conformity, Load/Reload Metallica. I'm also a big fan of Thrash metal music: Pantera, early Metallica, Slayer, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God.
It was important that the amp be good for very clean, clear, warm leads, which does tremendously thanks to the tubes on the Clean channel
the Crunch I think overdrives the tubes on the Clean channel, producing you guessed it old school overdrive tones that remind me of Rolling Stones or AC/DC
Lead works amazingly with my Thrash Metal and bluesy Metal styles. I'm not quite sure how this would work with death metal, but it pretty much sells itself with heavy music, I think, but not so over the top that I can't dial down the gain and play something a little more classic rock. I wanted something that could do every style but not sound mediocre in doing it all like a digital unit would. Get yourself a tube amp!!
As far as noise is concerned, maybe when the gain is up on the lead channel, but hey when is it not noisy with a lot of distortion. If you're worrying about noise, just get a noise gate. This amp is rockin!
On a last note, my brother who is a guitar teacher, has several years on me at guitar, and has generally better equipment is I think getting jealous of the tones I am getting out of my amp when compared to his all tube Peavey 4x10 combo. He's considering a Bugera for himself =P

Reliability : No Opinion
From what I've read, all the wiring, parts, and everything else for that matter and such is high quality. It is too new to know how the amps will be in the future as it came out a few months ago, but if the product was produced as meticulously as the people of Bugera/Behringer say it is then this puppy should withstand the test of time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing bass for about 6 years, and guitar seriously for about 1 even though I've played for almost 3 years on very rare occasions as I was a regular bassist back then.
If lost or stolen, I would get myself another one.
When searching for an amp, I wanted for it to be all tube, priced for somebody on a budget like myself, and to have a distortion like no other, nothing vintagey sounding, I wanted a High Gain unit. I was looking at Peavey, Marshall, and Randall, Ibanez etc for high gain, but they were either too expensive, cheaply produced, had no tubes, or just were not appealing to me. Bugera gives people on a budget a very high quality unit for much less bank. Two reasons for the low price is most likely attributed to it being as of now a no-name brand, too new on the market, and obviously it doesn't have a big emblem that says Marshall or Fender which would on its own give them the right to mark up the price as they please. MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

This amp was built in Jan 2008 in China but supposedly designed in Germany and its design probably copied from a current US made amp. It is NOT a boutique style amp, as they claim - it's simply a run-of-the-(asian)-mill unit. 120 watts...I don't know... - it does sound pretty loud. Has an fx loop, 4, 8, and 16 ohm selectable impedance and is loaded with six 12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6 power tubes that can be easily replaced with EL34's if desired - a bias switch and adjustment pot are installed to make the swap super simple. This is a rather versatile unit - it has a really nice clean channel that stays clean when turned up loud and features a crunch mode and a bright switch. The lead channel has "balls-to-the-wall" type of gain on tap. Both channels have their own EQ, presence and footswitchable reverb. Comes with a metal 4-button footswitch - clean, lead, reverb, Loop. Switching is instant and quiet. The chassis is a Crate or Peavey style unit that houses mostly asian made components. Lots of 1% metal film resistors and decent quality coupling caps. The filter electrolytic caps are rather small but today's advanced technology allows components to be built much smaller. The visible circuit traces around the power tubes and power supply are thicker than usual and heavy duty wiring is used through most of the amp. All the tube sockets are made of ceramic and have tight pins to securely hold the tubes in. The pots are small and look kind of frail but nothing cheaper than a current issue marshall.... The chrome plated transformers are hefty and stay cool to the touch even after hours of operation. For the technically-inclined, the amp lacks a choke in the power supply and a fuse to protect the power tubes. All in all, this amp is not built any cheaper than a Crate or a Peavey, in fact, some components may be better that the US made counterparts which means that this amp is much more affordable and just as good as its mid-level US made amp. The wooden cabinet is very sturdy and the tolex is neatly applied - no flaws are visible whatsoever. The only thing I really hate in this amp is the stupid nameplate. I took it off and will be installing my own soon after I add some mods to it. All in all, this amp is bang-for the-buck.

Sound Quality : 8
The clean channel sounds very nice with single coils - think Dire Straits. Humbuckers sound thicker but stay clean even when turned up loud. The lead channel get a bit dark with humbuckers, the presence control gets dialed up to 7 or so.... However, single coils will stay more defined. Both pickups wil remain articulate even in high gain and clean up decently with the guitar volume. The lead channel willnot satisfy a death metal player but if you're into van halen and put a phase 90 in the fx loop, you'll get pretty close to the classics of the 70/80's.

Reliability : 8
I haven't owned this amp long enough to tell whether it can be relied upon. However, judging from it's build quality, I would not rate this amp any lower than a Crate, Peavey, Fender or Marshall. All these companies use building methods and materials that have a lot in common among them. If you feel comfortable with a mid-level, mid-priced Peavey/Crate/Fender/Marshall type amp, you will feel comfortable with the 6262.

Customer Support : No Opinion
What???

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing 20 years - still have lots to learn. However, I've built much of my own gear.
This amp is great for the price. Nothing from Crate, Peavey, Fender or Marshall is available at this price for something like the 6262. The reason is simply the name. Methods of construction and components are the same used by most amp companies.

Only thing I wish this amp had would be a half-power mode. I will be adding that soon.
