Chris from CMW modded this amp, a Silverface Fender Bandmaster Reverb head, to its maximum.
By default it features two channels, but the normal channel has been modded to sound like a Blackface BM and offers a push/pull knob to add more depth. The Vibrato channel has been modded for a tighter low-end, thicker mid-range and a warmer high end. It also offers a foot switchable and push/pull knob boost for more gain and the footswitch allows you to dial in the amount of boost.
The amp has been equipped with a PPIMV master volume on the back which allows you to overdrive the amp on bedroom level volumes.
The Vibrato/Tremolo has been modded also.

Sound Quality : 10
I use the amp to play clean and clean with some overdrive. It is a great, almost Fender unlike, rock amp, that allows you to play anything ranging from jazz to rock, from funky stuff to classic rock. Despite this, it still has that great Fender clean!

While the amp is very loud originally, the PPIMV master volume allows you to get the tone and feeling of pushing the amp hard at very decent volume levels. You can easily gig with the amp at larger venues, or just play it at home.

Both channels have been made very useful, with a lot of tonal options, which allows you to create just about any sound, except metal tones.

Reliability : 10
The amp is 20+ year old and has never broken down as far as I know. While it is from the Silverface era, the craftmanship on this particular amp is very good. I would be able to depend on it for gigs without a backup.
Of course, anything could happen to an old amp like this one, but I have a lot of confidence in the craftsmanship of CMW amps and I do not worry about reliability after it has been checked, serviced and modded by CMW.

Customer Support : 10
Chris from CMW is a pleasant guy to work with. He is a technician, but he also a guitar player. He understands exactly what guitar players mean, want and need and he is able to carefully modify the amps to sound just the way you want.
CMW offers a very good warranty, even on old amplifiers, except for the tubes and transformers, which is understandable.
This is my second CMW modded amplifier, and if needed in the future, I will always use the services of CMW!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar now for 15 years or so. This is by far the best amplifier I have ever owned. It sounds just right and offers all I need. If it would be stolen or lost, I would contact CMW immediately to get me a new one.

It was a Fender Bandmaster Reverb, build in the mid-'70ties.
It has 2 channels It has two "channels". Channel 1 has a volume, treble and bass knob. The right channel, channel 2, has volume, treble, mids, bass, reverb and two "vibrato" (tremelo) knobs. Both channels have two inputs. One input is slightly louder than either. Both channels have a bright switch.
So far nothing new. But then comes Chris.
My amp has black- and silver-face mods. Custom-made blackface frontpanel. New e-caps. Reverb and vibrato (tremolo) do work on both channels. The normal channel is voiced for a tighter low end and smooth break-up, the MasterVolume circuit allows break-up at every volume level without loosing tone and feel. The vibratochannel is blackfaced. The stock tremolo is modified to a way more musical sounding one giving lots of 60s vibe.
Speaker simulated lineout, 2 and 4 ohms outputs.

Sound Quality : 10
I have a Telecaster and a Stratocaster. I use it for mainly '70-ties Rock. No problem! It does, blues, 50-ties, 60-ties, you name it...
Best amp I owned.

Reliability : 10
I bought it in July. I gigged with it and took it to rehearsel. Works fine. But... as it is a one of a kind I am very, very carefull with it.

I use this amp with a 2x12 Fender cab with Fane Speakers.
If it was stolen, I would cry because it is a one of. But... I then would ask Chris to build me my dream amp. He builds fine amps!
