2 channel, hence the 'twin' name. Bass and treble channels each with vol, bass and treble controls, the remaining control is for 'top cut', more about this later. 2 x inputs for each channel. All inputs appear to be hi impedence therefore not sure about the suitability of this amp for a harp player. No reverb or any effects which is normal for a British amp of approx 1970 vintage. I rate this amp 9 not because it is versatile, not because it has many features but because it produces a fantastic deep warm chimey valve sound and once you have that sound no other supposed 'feature' is worth $%^&. This amps only feature 'top cut' appears to do just that, cut of the top frequencies. This seemed a bit weird to me until I tried it out. I set up the bass and treble to about the mid position then turned up the top cut and the sound dulls down a bit and you start hearing the harmonics, very very bluesy, I love it.
The speakers are probably not original. I think the previous review said they had green backs. This model has celestion G12 -65's which are said to be an upgraded green back and released in the 1980's. Needless to say they sound great.

I play blues with 2 electro acoustic guitars which are very similar but one tunes to open D and the other standard tuning. A Simon & Patrick S6 cutaway and a Seagull S6. Both have the standard peizo electrics in the bridge. The S&P also has a soundhole pickup so I have the peizo going through the bass channel and the pickup going through the treble channel. Without an acoustic amp this sounds quite electric but utterly joyfull. the .12" acoustic strings give a really deep bass from the peizo bridge pickup and nicely warm and broken tone from the sound hole pickup.
This arrangement is clearly not suitable for everyone. I play in a trio with harmonica and drums so I can fill the sound spectrum with this. If you are in a bigger band then you may want an amp with more midrange and less bass.
Rated at only 40watts RMS but the valves are 2 x EL34's and 3 x ECC83's the same as 50-60Watt similar amps so this amp is very loud.

Reliability : 9
only had it 2 days but its approx 35 years old and not well looked after and it has survived really well. I will carry spare valves with me to gigs but will use it without a backup.
I wish you could see this amp. It looks stunning. Beautifully made with good quality ply. The front grill and piping are perfect. The tolex is only worn at the corners.

Plywood cab. Control panel is black, with silver detailing. Black tolex, with silver piping around outside faces. Black and white, with silver bits speaker cloth. Treble channel has treble, bass and top cut controls. Bass channel has treble and bass controls. Treble channel has two inputs. Bass channel also has two inputs.
Turn it up and it roars - sounds just like a Marshall Plexi from the same period - turn it up and you cannot tell the difference. For what it is, it is an excellent amp with marvellous vintage Plexi tone. Use a pedal board for effects.

Sound Quality : 10
I use it with a Gibson SG from 88. I play 60s and 70s rock. The amp is excellent for rock and using the bass channel is a super blues amp, after the sound of a Bassman.

Reliability : 10
Had it 12 years. Gigged with it regularly. Changed the tubes a few times. Nothing else.

Been playing 30+ years. Have owned lots of gear over the years. More than happy with this amp.
