I have just bought this amp from a lady who's son left it at her house, as it was too big to transport easily. She didn't really know anything about it or the guitar she was selling so I think I got it pretty cheap (#100) with one of those Marshall clip-on belt mini amps thrown in. I think it's quite a few years old but it still packs a good punch, 150 watts through 2 x 12" speakers. It's got loads of buttons and switches on it, there's about 5 just for distortion, it has reverb, chorus, a footpedal, input jacks and an effects loop thingy. It has 2 channels, I don't know too much about amps but it's got a good variety of sounds and effects. I use this amp at home, I have not yet gigged with it, as me and my friends havn't formed a band yet.....it definitely has enough power for me, a 10w amp has enough power for me at home in my bedroom, this just makes it better quality.

Sound Quality : 9
At the moment I only have a Yamaha ERG-121 which I've started playing electric guitar on, I'll upgrade to a Les Paul when I've saved up over #1000...it can be a tiny bit crakly, only when twisting switches and messing around with it, the clean channel isn't distorted at higher volumes, the distortion itself is very good, it has different modes like crunch, overdrive etc...with lots of different setting for each. It's just right for the things I play (red hot chilis, van halen, kravitz, clapton etc...) which is very varied so it suits all my needs.

Reliability : 10
It's fine...strong as an ox, weighs nearly 30kilos so is pretty sturdy and solid, no complaints as of yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I got it 2nd hand and she didn't know anything about it as it was her sons, no warranty obviously.

Overall Rating : 10
I've only been playing for a few months and I got this to replace my dismal embarrassing 10w Yamaha amp, I can't show up at my friends houses with that! Footpedal is a nice touch, reverb is cool to have on clean mode, overall it's a pretty good, cheap (for me) powerful, amp. I've seen a 100c for about #400 and a 200SC for #500 so I'd imagine it'd be actually worth closer to #500.......

I don't know much about amps, this was the first proper amp I bought to replace my little practice amp. 150 watts through two Celestion 12" speakers makes this a very loud amp. It's got two channels - one clean with a three band EQ and the second drive channel comes with a five band EQ and two stages of distortion. Also comes with a reverb and chorus unit built in. It's got a cool design feature where the two channels can be mixed with a knob to add a little clean sound to the drive channel or vice-versa.
The clean channel has a brightness button which real lifts up the sound, but the three band EQ is pretty limited, at least compared to the drive channel.
The distortion on the drive channel is beautifully dirty, I like to play some stoner every now and then and even on low volumes the sound fizzes and cackles and has a glorious bite to it. For an all transistor amp it sounds very nice - I've tried a couple of Marshall combos of similar size and they didn't nearly sound as good, they all lacked the warmth and depth that this has got. The five band EQ is active and gives a lot of tonal variation so play around with it and get your own sound.
I don't use the chorus ever because it just makes my guitar sound like a synthesiser, but the reverb is alright - makes my flat sound like a concert hall.
Round the back theres line out, footswitch, effects loop and speaker input jacks.
It's got all the features I need so I'm happy with it.

One quip with this amp is that the switching buttons are tiny and the knobs aren't of the best quality. They're quite small and don't all have the same resistance when you turn them. I don't know if that's just the previous owner or not, but when I turn some of them a crackling noise comes through the speakers.
Then again I just leave the amp at the same setting most of the time so it doesn't bother me much.
Oh yeah.. and when I plug my lead into the input jack it doesn't feel as secure as I'd like, there's no reassuring click.

Sound Quality : 9
I've never turned this amp up to full volume - the furthest I've got is a quarter volume and even then the floor shakes. And I live in a block of flats so I can't really annoy the neighbours too much.
Man I've never played through a big tube stack before so I really can't compare the sound of this amp with much. All I have played through before like I said before were a few Marshall combos - and they sounded pretty lame compared to this. I like that midrange drive and this amp gives it without making it sound too quacky.
I play a Gibson SG standard on full drive it always brings a smile to my face. Beautifully wide and strong distortion makes my sound one fat lady.
Clean it's a nice clean sound - and at even a quite low volume a touch of natural overdrive creeps in which I quite like.

Reliability : 8
I've never done any gigging - as yet I'm just a bedroom performer. In the year I've had it nothing has ever gone wrong, but then again I've never pushed it really hard at all. The general construction seems pretty sturdy so I'd imagine it would take a few knocks.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had any trouble with it.

For 200 quid I don't think I could get a better amp than this. Only trouble is if it were stolen it'd probably be tricky to track down another one second hand. Weighing in at 28 kilos it's pretty heavy but then with the power and sound it's got I'm not complaining (apart from when I was lugging this thing a mile home on foot from the shop).
