I bought this in the late '90's, brand new. It is a solid state 40W combo, with a 12" Celestion speaker rated at 50W, with a red vinyl finnish.

There are two channels, channel 1 is the clean channel, with low, mid and high eq, gain and a "crunch" switch.

Channel 2 is the distortion channel an has gain, low, low mid, high mid, treble and level controls.

There is a footswitch for the channels, although not for the "crunch" setting on channel 1.

There is a reverb

There is a line out, send and return.

I play blues, hard rock and some older metal styles. This amp is well suited to blues and hard rock, but less so, at least on its own, for metal. I have never gigged with this amp, it's just a practice amp for me. It is certainly loud enough for that!

I would dearly like the "crunch" button on the clean channel to be foot switchable, but it is not.

I'm using a standard Fenix ST20 Strat copy from about 1993, which is good for the money, but overall a very average guitar. It is comparable to the cheaper Fender Strats. Three single coils.

There isn't much noise from this amp, despite the possibilty of that with the pitfalls of using a cheap guitar like I do. It is very suited to blues/dirty blues/hard rock.

The clean channel is excellent, and this is the one I use the most. The crunch switch adds a nice light to medium distortion depending on the channel gain. Good eq shaping from the three tone controls. Add a bit of reverb and it sounds excellent.

The distortion channel gives anything from a medium-light to a reasonably heavy distortion. It would not be suited to modern metal styles. I think my guitar limits the sound a bit, as I have tried this with a Jackson Stealth and an SG and both sounded much better through this channel than my poxy strat copy. The eq is excellent, you can shape the tone a lot with the two mid eq controls, as well as bass and treble.

Never gigged it, but it is well made enough and has survived numerous drunken kicks, drops and spillages in its time. A couple of the pots have started to get crackly recently, but this is somewhat unsurprising, given that it is ten years old. I'm sure a bit of compressed air will fix it.

Never contacted them

Playing about fourteen years on and off. I would recommend buying this amp if you like the sound. It's looks pretty good in its red vinyl. When I bought this amp I tried a number of solid state amps, and this one was easily the best, at least to my ears at the time.

I don't really have enough experience of other amps to fully compare it to its rivals, but I don't have any major complaints, and it sounds sweet to my ears.

The amp is a 40W solid state unit and it was built in UK.
I have no information about the year it was made in.
The features are: master volume and reverb knobs, two channels(clean & overdrive)and dedicated effects loop and line out jacks.

It is a special edition with a red vinyl cover.

I use it with an Epiphone Les Paul Classic with stock pick ups, and I play mainly hard rock such as Kiss,UFO,Thin Lizzy etc.

This amp is very silent and it has a good bass response taking into consideration that it?s a 1X12 combo.

The clean channel has bass, mid and treble controls and a crunch switch to "grit" the tone. It doesn?t have a sparkling clean sound but lots of mid frequencies instead. A bright switch could be VERY useful there.

The overdrive channel has gain, output level and four active tone controls: bass, lo mid, hi mid and treble. This channel is very versatile for blues, hard rock or fusion. You can get a tube-like tone by increasing the low and hi mid frequencies in order to mellow out the sound and to obtain a good harmonic response.

Despite the amp?s versatility, it?s hard to get a metal distortion because it doesn?t have tons of gain. You?ll probabily have to use a booster or an overdrive pedal to add more distortion to the sound.

It?s very reliable and it has never broken down, however I?m having problems with hums and noises in the input jack and I soon must have it replaced.
