1970's, or so I'm told and it does look like that era, not unlive a vox, which everyone assumes it is on first seeing it. I've used it for several styles and it's coped with them all perfectly, including running my acoustic through it and it sounded crystal clear. It has 2 channels but one does everything for me. It has an awesome optional reverb as well as a sustain; you can use the two together to make 'suzz' which is basically a much bigger, rocky-er sound. Also got the usual treble, middle, bass, volume and gain controls, the only thing you could argue it's missing is a footswitch but since I use pedals anyway it's not a problem. It sounds absolutely massive, I've used it on it's own ans also as a cab and it covers all the angles perfectly.

It has been used with les pauls, telecasters, strats, SGs, and a whole load of cheap guitars and it still performs perfectly. Because of it's power I've been more comfortable putting single-coils through it than humbuckers, it just mixes perfectly, but then I have used both and it's really just a case of changing the tone to accommodate. It will crank up like you wouldn't believe and yet is still great when playing more intimate styles. Basically it will only distort if you tell it to!

I've had mine for years and it has never let me down, not even once. I can't say more than that.

I would be lost without mine. It may not have the reputation of a Vox AC30 or a Fender Twin but it's got the sound and it ain't a bad looker either! I bought it on a whim and have been so pleased with it ever since, it has become a faithful and lifelong friend.
