This is simply the best trans amp have yet heard......I use it with a WEM copycat and a blues driver(Boss). It has the best spring reverb you ever heard built in.
It is the best kept secret - DONT confuse it with other Carlsbro amps, this is special. 2x10 pushing out a genuine 150watts, but incredibly subtle on the clean channel. Footswitchable from clean to SUZZ to reverb or all 3 , it is very quiet, or verrrrrry loud. Gig? You bet!
Call up the inbuilt chorus AND the reverb, and Duane Eddy tones are a cinch, even with a strat, Hank just oozes out of the speakers. Mine has got a CD player, making it a great practise tool too. This rocks with the best of them, with tones no Marshall ever achieved.

Hank Strat and Gibson LP through a WEM copycat or Blues driver.
Quiet between notes, can vary between Glass highs ala Hank, or grunge O/D at its coarsest.Clean channel remains distortion free at very high volumes - too high for me to confirm at what point it might distort....
Very clean amp very suitable for pedals.

I have bben trying for a year to buy one of these. It is better than I expected, in terms of tone and versatility. It was the biggest bargain I have yet purchased. With the copycat, you would swear it was a valve amp, and yes I would buy again.

This is a 1983 model.
I've owned it since then. Bought it new.
Very heavy, has wheels, made of indestructible petrified wood.
150W (souns like 1,000,000,000W!!!) cloed back.
2 Channels, one with a Suzz (Sustain/fuzz combination).
Real spring reverb, chorus, tremolo, vibrato, parametric EQ.
Solid state. Pedal to control effects.

I used it with all kinds of guitar.
Can be used with a bass or any other instrument. This thing has a huge range and the speakers can take it with no problem.
Clean can be very clean or totally mushed up by the EQ.
This amp can make any musical sound you want and any unearthly sound you don't want.
The suzz is quite efficient and can be made to generate unending notes.
The effects were designed by some guy who smoked too much (not talking about tobacco here). They can be made to sound pretty good but 70% of the time you will get silly sounds. The real spring reverb however sounds really good, better than most digital low end units. (Doesn't compare to my Lexicom PCM91 however).

Indestructible. Never broke. I dropped it a couple of times from the stage (During my punk/grunge years). Pulled it back up and kept working. Actually felt once with the power chord still plugged in and it just kept working, on its back with people kicking it on the floor.
They don't build them like this anymore.

Been playing since 1967 (Jimi converted me).
If it were stolen I would use my VHT and my rack system instead. Wait a minute, this is what I actually do. I don't use the Carlsbro anymore except for the 2X12 speakers that actually sound pretty good.
By todays standards this is a piece of s**t!!! but it served me well during my excess years.
I'll give it a 5 for the old days.
