I just purchased this amp directly from Carol-Ann amps and can't say enough about it's versatility. It's and all tube 50 watt El34 112 combo and features 2 channels with footswitch included and an EV speaker. Footswitch is a two button with one being the channel switcher and the other being a mid boost that adds extra depth to the sound. It also has an extra speaker jack and effects loop with level control. I play mostly weddings and small clubs so the volume doesn't go much past 2 0r 3 when I play. Each channel has a high mid low control and the gain channel has an extra gain control for overdrive. There is also a master volume for each channel and a presence control. Also there is a channel A shift swtich and a bright switch. I would love reverb on board but I have decided to purchase a reverb pedal.

The clean channel on this amp has more headroom than I'll ever need. You can crank this thing up and blast sparkling clean fender type tones. I play a strat, tele, les paul etc. etc. through this thing and I'm able to get a sweet tone with all. Everything from pure clean warmth to a slight grit to a full blown metal distortion especially with humbuckers. The lead tone is very smooth at any gain level and a very responsive to pick attack. I'm also surprised at how purcussive this amp is for being a 1x12 open back combo. Tons of oomph maybe because of the EV speaker?

Have not had it long enough to tell yet. It looks well built as far as I can tell. I have had another Carol-Ann amp for over a year and it hasn't failed so I'll expect the same out of this.

Alan Phillips the owner is very friendly and accomodating. He explained tons about the amp and his philosophy on making a superior sounding amp so I have confidence in it's quality.

I have been playing guitar for 21 years and have owned amps from probably 30 different manufacturers. This is the best amp I've ever heard. We all know how guitar players are always searching for the "perfect tone". I think I may have found it. At least for now.lol
