couldn't tell you.it was dead out of the box!!!!!!!!

power cord plugged into power conditioner?check!
speakon cables hooked up to speakers?check!
interconnect cables hooked up from preamp?check!
power switch on?check!
wait a minute!no lights,no sound,nothing!
fuses ok?CHECK!
still no lights,sound or power!

they were friendly,at least for the 10 minutes i actually got to talk to someone.considering i was on hold for 2 hrs.!!!!!the tech was helpful though.he had me jiggle the fuse to see if it was loose.it wasn't!the only conclusion was that it must have gotten damaged internally while shipping UPS.so back to San Diego it goes!7 to 10 days for a replacement!!
how can a power amp stand up to the rigors of touring and gigging if it can't handle UPS?????????my suspicions tell me it was prob. faulty from the factory.the box was in perfect condition,as was the unit itself.pristine out of the box.not a scratch or ding or even a speck of dust on it!!!

i have been playing for 30 yrs.have owned lots of gear in that time.if it were stolen or lost?....well i'll wait till i get one that works before i answer that.according to the specs. it should perform rather well.again,to reiterate,if it can't handle shipping,how can it handle the road.

My DCM1000 is about the same vintage as the earlier reviewer, and I feel the same about it. I usually run this as a PA main for an acoustic single act; don't laugh! As more than one pro has said to me (usually while shaking his head) "Well, you can never have too much headroom".

I've run bass into a Carvin RL210T dual 10" cab, PA duties into two Yamaha Club series 12", keyboards, guitars... the amp is neutral.

This amp has never done anything but continue to run as reliably as the day I received it.

I've never had to ask Carvin for any after-purchase support for any of their products.

I'd buy another DCM series in a heartbeat.

My DCM 1000 was made 2003. The DCM 1000 is very versatile for a guitar pwr amp. Also The Carvin DCM 150 is killer for smaller rigs and is 1 rack space check site listed below. I use The DCM 1000 and DCM 150 in my stereo rigs to pwr all my effects I use a wet/dry/wet rig Like EV; Steve Lukather;Micheal Landau. I play Rock,Blues,Jazz,Country The DCM 1000 is very cool for all these styles. The DCM 1000 Features are: Channel Level Controls,Channel Signal inicator,Channel Clip indicator,Front Cooling fins,Rear fan,Protect Led Indicator,Channel 1/4" jacks and XLR Jacks for

I use a PRS McCarty with Duncan Pearly Gates Humbuckers and a Tom Anderson Drop Top with John Shur V60's and Duncan 59 Humbucker in Bridge. The DCM 1000 Pwr amp is very clean and is very warm like a tube pwr amp.

It's built like a tank heavy-duty 16 gauge steel chassis. I would not need a back up I would buy another if I was on the road where voltage changes acure just because tech can be forgetful. I don't see this pwr amp breaking down built killer and if something did happen Carvin has been very helpful.

Cravin is very cool they are very busy so when you call you have to know what you are asking for and ask tech questions about the product.
never had to send for repaire it has a 5 yr warranty vey cool.

Ive been playing sence I was 12yrs old 39 now tech for 10yrs.
If were stolen or lost would by another in a heart beat!
What I love about the DCM 1000 that is built killer and the tone is killer. I have Had a boogie 2:90 pwr amp which are good but when in a rack humms and pwr tubes cross talk If I were to buy a tube pwr amp VHT is the one or Engnater pwr amp if you could find one. For Tube preamp soild state is cool but I Like tube pwr amps for driving tube preamps The killer combo is (2)Marshall Plexi heads new or old moded with tube effect loop. moded can be done for 150 at a good amp shop
