Great sound. I play 7 string metal, and this cab delivers great low end punch. I think carvin speakers are way underrated. This cab is awesome. I have played through a marshall and mesa cabs. This is on the same level if not a little better because it is not designed towards one amp. This is a cab that is designed to be compatable to any sound.

This is the best cap for the price range no doubt. Unless you are willing to spend 1000 on a cab this is the way to go. The speakers are replicas of celestions. The best quality for under 1000. If I was Rich and had any choice I would choose the new carvin v3 cabs. They are the only thing that I have heard sound better for the price.

First off, it is all around a super cab. i suppose its due to the Carvin GT12's, they are voiced the same as the vintage 30 speaker, im told. they have a really nice balanced round sound, really tight bottom end and nice highs too. i ordered off the carvin website, and they arent lying when they list "silky highs, supurb bass punch" in the features! i would also expect that the good sound also comes from the plywood construction. its hard to describe, but it has a nice full sound to it, yet you can hear the wide openess of your tubes coming through. i suppose all the metal parts help too, ive heard that metal is better, it helps the sound a lot, but i dont know for sure. if nothing else, it adds to the quality of the cab. this cab is exceptional, especially for the price!! i cant believe that i got such a good a deal on it, and all i had to do was order it off the website. it is very versitile, i can get all the metal sounds i want, plus good cleans, and i like the blues sounds i get out of it, especially when i click on the neck pickup with my ultra channel, and the cab blasts out very warm tubes sounds, it makes my guitar sound like a gibson, so blusey and full. damn what a good cab, cant say enough about it. very loud too, it handles the volume very well. they must have voiced the decibel sensitivity the same as vintage 30 too.

ive only had it for a couple weeks, and i dont suspect that it would break prematurely or anything, very solid and strong cab indeed. like i mentioned before, the metal parts really help, the metal grill would definitely help protect speakers from bumps and the metal corners would do their job nicely. they would never split or anything. the cab weights 90 lbs, so not too heavy or light. you'd expect it to weigh more with all the bottom end it can handle. im leaving the rating on no opinion because i havent had it for very long.

very friendly and prompt, the only part i was dissappointed about was when i had to call them to make a correction to my order, and one guy said that he would change it but didnt. the only way i found out was when they called me because it was wrong. other than that, friendly helpful staff.

ive been playing for about 2 years, but only about one year seriously. i play through a schector omen 6 with a semour duncun jb-4 in the bridge and a peavey ultra plus all tube head. all in all, the cab does nicely. i like the Carvin company a lot, my cab is made in the United States. FYI, if you want to change from stereo to mono, the slide switch is UNDER a dust cap in the jack plate. i didnt know this at first, i thought that maybe it was only capable of stereo or something. so, take off the cap, the switch is kind of hidden. dont look like an idiot like i did.
