I play a Fender 48th St. Custom Strat with an H/S/S setup running thru a few boutique effects into a Fender Super Champ XD. I replaced the stock 10" Jensen Special Design speaker with this Celestion G10 Greenback. The amp now sounds much more tonally balanced and full producing rich harmonics. Keeps the low end tight, the mids smooth and creamy, and the high end just sparkles. Makes the amp sound much more aggressive. Since the amp is low wattage and the speaker is low wattage you can really squeeze a lot of juice out of it. Has some beautiful natural break up when you push the front end of your amp with a good overdrive pedal. It really gives you that 60s classic rock sound. The more you push it, the better (more authentic) it sounds, though it still sounds great playing at a low bedroom volume.

I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't really comment, but its built solid. I'm sure it will be a very reliable speaker in the long run. Made in England!!!

I'm 26, been playing for about 14 years and I have a really good ear (just one haha ... jk)! There really aren't many 10" speaker options out there, and I'm into the whole 60s thing so I was sold on this before hearing it, just going by my general knowledge of Greenbacks and having played amps which house them, but in 12" models. I did a lot of research comparing the Celestion G10 Greenback to the Celestion G10 Vintage, and the Eminince Rajin Cajun. I wanted something low wattage, vintage 60s sounding, and the Greenback turned out to be the one. I have to give it a 9 because I'm not one of those tools that just throws out 10s because they're in love with whatever they're reviewing. It's solid, you'll be happy buying one.
