After I got them, they were brand new.Unpacked and installed in the 412
cab and wired for 8 ohm.
At first they sounded ear piercing clean and brutal enough bass but lots of mids, after rereading through harmony-central about others having same experience though I should give it a try and putt them to work with a cd player or radio for up to 20 hr see what happens to the sound.
It worked speakers sounded better not that much ear piercing but clean with lots of hi mids and mids also mid basses were more pronounce with my Mg100hdfx than with guitar research amp 60w .
Came to conclusion that they are not bad speakers at all but need improvement in sound if you gonna play at very loud volume on amp.
I have not tried to do that around here cannot do loud cuz of the neighbors.
I plan to change the amps later an with an all tube amp head, also let you know when my eminence speakers arrive what would be the difference.
Anyway as all around stock speakers not bad for money paid, though not
greatest either, cone tends to harden if not used for longer time and
this one were stocked for long time in warehouse of the store that I bought them from

No absolutely not , they would work better possible with another amp , but will see..
I would not used them at least thats my opinion for my style.

I have played on stage since twelve thirteen years old but I have not had such speakers like this ones, again I currently do not have great amps like at my parents house amps that I have being used which were:bogner,fender silverface, yamaha tubed,HH,Roland JC,Marshall all tube,and others..
I lets you know when I get my all tube here how it would sound...

However in comparison with rocket 50 I think rocket is much better speaker yet again need a place were I could play it loud so I could really compare it on high power how it reacts (but I would not recommend anyone that .
I choose this speakers mainly cause I needed four and they were not expensive for four $110.
If they were stolen I would surely not even look for them.. they are not my type versatile at all when it comes to the sound though they have bass in them quite good at low levels
