This is the stock speaker from Marshall's AVT50 combo amp. 12", 8 ohm, maybe 15 ounce magnet.

I pulled this speaker from my AVT amp and am placing it in a 2x12" cab with another AVT speaker as an xperiment. Meanwhile I put a Vintage 30 into my AVT50 amp. (Sweet - throatier, more bass, little higher efficiency) Anyway, this speaker as a standalone is surprisingly solid in the closed back AVT. Gives you that undeniable Marshall crunch. The magnet is small but this baby is still designed for rock and roll. I use only humbucker equipped guitars and play mostly hard rock. Cream, Who, Zep, etc.

I placed this review primarily for any of you who are curious oabout the Celestions which Marshall places into their AVT amps. Its obviously inferior to the Greenback or the Vintage 30 but is less costly as well. To my ears, tho, its a superior driver and oozes the Marshall sound. And for around $30 on eBay, a killer deal. Keep your eyes peeled for these.
