Well it was a love hate thing for me with these but ultimatly they are not my bag.Mine is a 70th Anniversary model.I bought it to load a 2x12 cabinet. The tone was nice thick lowend smooth highs and no spiky harsh mids.TONALY......I liked them allot more so than my Reissue greenbacks.BUT DYNAMICALY.....being higher sensitivity I didn't like the feel of them. They are not only louder than other Celestions but your notes seem to loose that controled compressed feel of M magnet speakers and all your notes tend to be loud.Allone I liked them but in a band setting they seemed overpowering and shouting sounding.I'm a very agressive bluesy style rock guitarist I like to dig in hard on the pick for leads and power chords and lighten up and roll the guitar off for cleans and for my style these were overbearing and overpowering and shouting. So ultimatly I'd prefer a G12M-25 greenback or T75 evan

This is a superb speaker for smaller 1x12 speakers. To my ears, it's fullness makes up for the smaller cabinet size and does not have the piercing upper mids/highs that some 'small' size combo's exhibit. I liked this speaker so much I put it into a 2x12, but I did not like it as much in the larger cabinet. It seemed to get a little too 'full' for my taste. For me, this speaker is great for a 1x12 combo or cabinet. For a 2x12 I'd go with a V30 or alnico gold.

It's a speaker, so I don't know how many features it COULD have. My speakers were rear-loading (i.e. they rest on the inside of the cabinet); I don't know if you can buy front loading speakers, but you probably can. Most applications don't require them, however.
Available in 8/16 ohm versions.

The sounds from these speakers are amazing. Very thick, soft, creamy bass and midrange. Treble is not harsh. However, it takes some fiddling on the amp (I'm using a 50 watt MesaBoogie Rectoverb series 2 head) to truly get the sounds you're after out of new speakers (or at least that's been my experience). The speakers distort very nicely and naturally, even at relatively low volumes. 4 of these speakers, even with a mere 50 watt head to drive them, can get damn loud: i turned the master on my amp to 5 and could feel my pantlegs moving from all the air they were pushing. Awesome sounding.

Seems very reliable: nice and heavy duty, like all Celestions. The speaker cones don't feel flimsy like some speakers' do. I put this in a hand-built homemade cab (I know, I know what you're thinking: but my woodworking skills are high - cabinet is better constructed and stronger than anything you'd find from Marshall or Mesa), and it was obvious in the installation that the speakers were machined with extreme precision: all of them were identical.

No problems yet...
My dealership kinda dicked around with me though: I was able to buy 2 speakers up front, and they said I would have to wait 1-2 weeks for the other pair: however, it ended up being 6 weeks. I don't know if this Celestion is to blame for this though, or some intermediary company.

Overall, these speakers get 10 for sound and construction. They sound awesome, are constructed well, and even look gorgeous (very nice decals on the back). As I said, my cabinet is homemade; it's open backed, very deep and wide, and has a high (almost 1/2 height) full thickness (3/4") back piece.
These speakers handle bass frequencies excellently. I often play in open D/Dm tunings, and the sounds are full and rich. The speakers struggle a little with down-C tunings, but in my experience, you really need a closed cab if you're playing down-C.
Clean sounds, even at low volumes, sound expansive and wide. Turning the gain up on your amp produces an immediate response in the speakers, and they distort very naturally at lower volumes (they only handle 30 watts each).
The only drawback is the high price-tag. These are premium boutique speakers, and not production line level. I think they sound much nicer than Vintage 30's, which are too brash for my tastes. However, part of the price for any well know company is the name-sake markup. I wish these speakers cost about 40 dollars less, each. However, great sound is worth the money.
