These came inside a Laney Linebacker 100 reverb 2x12 baby stack.
Let me tell you these speakers are gold and make any amp sound great. Excellent speakers.

been playing for almost 20yrs and these speakers will always be with me. I am about to build a new cabinet for them, making it out of zebrawood or mahogany which will hopefully add to the sound.
My Marshall JMP1 sounds awesome through them and they are loud enough for any application.
If they were stolen I would want to rip the guy's head off, as I love these speakers.

Hey, it's a Marshall alternative to the price gouging greenbacks Ebay is selling at astronomical prices. A good speaker that does break up very similar to the green backs only you have the modern parts and design to lean on.

Very smooth. I have a compact Marshall 4x12 slant cab. I noticed my Fender Blues Deluxe 1x12 was a bit harsh at highter volumes, so I pipped it into this cab and it smoothed out like cream. A very nice sounding cabinet and much easier to haul around than my gigantic stadium 4x12 cab. You can actually pick it up with one arm!

No probs so far. I've run my 50watt JTM 800 through those speakers and they don't whimper at all. So far so good.

Have not called them. I've bought almost all my Marshall gear used. Who'd pay retail for it?

I roll my eyes when I read of all the 'I've been playing 35-40 years...blah blah blah..' And you're 50-60 years old now? Yeah right! So what? I'll just say I've been playin' awhile. I'm from the old school where stomp boxes didn't exist and you light your cigarette on the back of your amp. I've had great luck with Marshall gear, amp heads, combo's, cabs and such. Nothing has ever blown up on me. Guess I"m lucky 'cause Marshall used to not have a good reputation for reliability. But my JTM 800, over 20 years old and all original works great. The G12L speakers, haven't had them long enough to say yeah or nay. But I'll put my money on them lasting, since I've been lucky in the past.

Well, its a plain 12" guitarspeaker. Mine have 16 Ohm and take 35W each.

Compared to the "Classic" series, it is probably the speaker coming closest to the Greenback.
The thing has very pleasant highs and mids. A little less bass than the Greenback, but it squeels at least even so wonderfully when cranked up. It might be a little "clearer" and thus more all round too.

Absolutely worth trying out as an alternative to the Greenback. Could also be considered as a tuning tip for downgrading your 300W Marshal cabs (G12T) in the effort to obtain speaker distortion at lower levels (sounds pleasant so!).
