I'm not sure speakers have "features", you just hook em' up. However, they are available in 4, 8 and 16ohm variants giving you alot of versatility regarding speaker configurations (many speakers only come in 2 variants). Furthermore, you can either solder wires onto the speaker or use connectors if you're in quick&dirty experimentation-mode (fx. my Greenback heritage needs to be soldered). Also, it can handle a full 100 watts of power. These are the only "features" I can think of, and in that respect it's better or as good as any other speaker I know of so it gets full marks.

For testing I used two similar cabinets; one loaded with the legendary g12t-75's (which I assume you know) and one loaded with these g12t-100's. I used the same preamp+poweramp and could toggle between the two instantly with a footswitch.
I found that they have allmost totally identical character. The subtle differences I could pick up were just as small as the subtle differences you allways pick up between two "identical" cabinets; even if they are loaded with "identical" speakers.
One big and important difference though: The 100's can put out quite a bit more bass. This is a good and useful thing. It's there if you need it. If you don't like it, you can allways dial off bass. If you are into modern metal you'll (probably) love it in your 4x12. Personally, I play everything from gentle pop to very loud and fired up blues/hardrock (a.la. Gary Moore, Van Halen) but not full-blown drop-tuning metallica style mayhem. From my viewpoint, the increased bass-capability holds a big promise : *maybe* (please-please-please) I don't have to struggle with heavy 4x12's anymore. I put the 100's in a 2x12, and driven by a bass capable 6L6 amp I really like what I'm hearing!
Looking at the frequency characteristics of this speaker, and comparing them to the 75's I was a bit concerned by the 100's apparently louder peak's in the high frequency end of the spectrum (15k and up). One thing I absolutely hate is harshness/loudness in the treble-range. I figured they were so cheap so I'd give em a try, and it turned out I have no problem with the treble.
If you like bassy tones (and even if you dont) and relaxed mids (not necessarily scooped) the g12t-100's are great. I love em...full marks...

I haven't had them long enough to really say. However, based on my experience with the closely related g12t-75, I'd be surprised if these are anything but bulletproof.

When comparing speakers, I usually find that all speakers have their own strengths and weaknesses. It's typically one big tradeoff between tone, price, sensitivity, weight, power-capability, blablabla.. This is one of those rare occasions where I simply find that the (for me) much beloved g12t-75's have become obsolete. They are still great, but the 100's are simply better : The 100's sound similar, can handle more power, can put out more bass, are slighty lighter (maybe effectly ALOT lighter if they can give you enough grunt in a small 2x12 instead of a 4x12) AND even cheaper!
The G12t-100's are my new favorit. They outperform all my other speakers (V30's, GB-heritage, g12-75) on almost every level. And on top of that : they're a total bargain...

I run a Carvin V3 head through a mix of the 75's and 100's. I really have to say the testing I did to test the 100's against the 75's and against a Vintage 30 was a very close call but eventually I could hear the differance. The 30's didn't cover the tonal spectrum as well, not as much high, not as much low. OK for 70's style, but I had to drop them in favor of the 100's. The T100 is just like the 75 with a bit more LOW for chunking. Sounds great on standard rock, but once you palm mute WATCH OUT very kicking and in your chest. At my am on 3 Im kicking out 118 dcbls, and the V3 has lots of low end so you can feel the bass in your nuts, very cool. I use a variety of guitars, cheap to expensive all tones are accurate and reflect a great quality variation with these speakers.

Like I overstated above. The sound is a little more kicking in the Bass end then the 75's. I do have to say that 75's I have are a little smoother in tone, but I do think that the tone will warm up once I break these 100's in. Again, only I could tell the differance in tone, my friends could not. What they could tell is the Kick of the Bass when palming power chords. Harmonics sound great too.

Great speaker, funny that the price is still so low on these. The Vintage 30 is all the rage, but really is not all the speaker that this is. You can always remove the extra bass that this speaker produces on you amp head, but the Vintage 30 will not produce more bass without honking out.

Never seen live but you can figure out. 8Ohm, 100watts, about 97db sensitivity which is bad compared to my 108db Webers I'm selling but loud enough with 100watts for sure.

Well, sound is nice though not what I prefer... Too dark for me, but this speaker should be absoletely great for metal. I play rock. Something like Hillsong United (or U2 if you don't know beforementioned) and I liked Eminence Governor much more. But it is question of preference... If I could not have governor I'd stick to this. Bought in 1x12" cab for 200$ with 50w marshall clone which is pretty good deal. I bought mainly that amp but and am about to sell cab but it is really good, just not my taste.

PRICE PAID: Well they are every where on the net for $89.99 each and I believe for the quality tones they are worth the $90 tag.
I actually bought mine new as a 4 speakers package deal on ebay from avitar.com They were cleaning out the wharehouse and I scored mine for $125 and change.... I shit you not $125.05 for all 4 NEW!!!
Features 100 watts of handeling power, Ah like it features a basket, a cone and go figure a voice coil too.
What it really features is GREAT TONES.

Sounds: Nice, Clean or Crunch or dirty as hell these speakers seem to cover the range. As already stated no real shrill or "honky" bites although if thats your tone with mega trebel & mids you could make them honk...but just my opinion~ not too cool. Reality guitar players can look forward to~ Creamy mids, plenty of highs and the lower end bass tones is just ScweeEEEt!
I'm playing through 2 4x12 cabs my top slant is loaded with Cestion 35's G12L-35's they are nice (not made anymore) but I wanted to fill out the lower spectrums. So I placed 4 of these Celestion G12T-100 or "HOT-100" in my straight bottom cab. The tone is complete now Ya, it's covered! Sounds great as a stack. I play rock, blues rock, traditional blues & metal with Les Pauls through my various (100w) heads and I'm pretty darn happy with the tone's of these Celestion G12T-100's. I actually prefer these 100s over the 35s. If I run a single 412 cab I use my bottom cab with the 100s. They just sound better. If your looking for good bottom end crunch & that tight for metal or vintage rock..get em.

A solid 9 overall...Ya I'm sure there might be better speakers BUT, I'm pretty darn pleased the way 4 of these added tight low end to my bottom 412. But it's not just the bottom end Seriously these in a 4x12 cab covers the spectrum of frequencies.
I can imagine (2) 412 cabs featuring: ***each cab in a X pattern***
2 Celestion G12T-100 &
2 Celestion 25w Green Backs
Yup! that will be my new project.
Hey Metal *I mean you Drop D tuning katz.... Is your cab sounding still a bit too "Shrill" or bright even after you scoop the mids?
If you got a good head/amp Your going to love these Celestion G12T-100.

Made in 2005 I assume. Came in my Fender (Yes fender now uses Celestions!) Stage 1600 amp. Features? are stated in previous reviews.
I like two sets of terminals for hooking other speakers. These have a small outside diameter so they can be used in any cab that uses a 12" speaker, unlike my EV12L's.

I use a strat with Jeff Beck Hot noiseless pups and a Les Paul classic with '57 pups. I play classic rock, jazz, blues. These speakers sound incredible to my ears. Rather scooped, but plenty of bass, not chimy or bell-like, but not thin. Almost hi-fi like sound with descernable top end, but not hissy. Mids are relaxed, definetly not honky. Punchy when pushed, but no buzz or screach. Bottom end is tight and focused, but not flabby or muddy. Plenty of clean head room.

Been playing since I jammed with Eric Clapton back in '75. I have also owned Vintahe 30's (too honky), Silver 60's (too chimey), G12T-75's (not enuf bass), G12-80H (best of the lot), Century 12's (neo-dogs), and a bunch of Avatar speakers. I also own several Eminence and Jensen 12" speakers. This is an all-around good speaker. It has great tonal range for all my styles. I use soemthing called tone controls on my guitars and amps to create the sound I want. I was going to replace these with Vintage 30's, but why? Vintage 30's are way too honky. These sound better than any Eminence I have ever owned (Legend series, Redcoats, Fender Blue label.

I play a strat's one with Hot Noisless through a 2x12" Musicman HD-212-130. Great Blues amp. The other has Rio Grande Pickups through a Marshall JCM900. These speakers deliver the headroom if SRV was alive he may be using them now!

I play a seven string Ibanez RG, out of preference very heavey rock, lots of low end and screaming fast high solos (for example some dream theatre, metallica, korn). I also play 80s rock for gigs at weddings and parties, it seems to handle everything i throw at it.
The 97 dB sensivity is fairly average, powerful enough to make your easrs bleed in a small hall (i play a custom made 2*12) but nothing to write home about.
The tone is warm and crunchy, but responds fairly well to amp settings: the marshall solid state MG i use has a contour control, the way the G12T 100 responds to both extremes is impressive.
On clean, the speaker can sometimes sound a little over stretched, as if it needs the distortion for which it is intended; after all it is big brother to the G12T75, a legend in heavey metal guitar. The key is to keep the power section of the amp high and gain section low to provide plenty of headroom, which is what clean sounds need.
The distortion is otherworldly; especially in the bass frequencies, the force of the sound it creates is very good, when palm muting the thud is punchy but toneful. I reccommend this very highly for distortion, less so for clean.

I run 2 of these in a cabinet, if one ever fails ill just disconnect it and play with one on higher volume. what a bonus, my amp stack is powerful enough that ive never played it above about 10 watts: a bit of a waste of speaker and amp really, but I cant help it, its painful above half volume. It hasnt failed but ive only had it six months and run it at low power, ill give it 8

I can't find any word on the warranty, but celestion are typically good to deal with, My dads ditton 33s burnt out after 25 years a few years ago and they agreed to replace the crossover at a reduced price... i guess thats pretty good. dont know about these though ill post an update if/when they break.

if I was to lose this speaker, i would strongly consider buying it again for the price i paid for it. if it was a lot more expensive I would look into getting a pair of 10" speakers or 1 15", as the cabinet is rather large. The tone cant really be beaten, especially in the closed back cabinet I use them in, it would be an idea upgrade for any speaker that ever fails.

This is the big brother to the industry standard G12T-75 driver that comes in the Marshall JCM900 cabs (as well as a few other top end cabinets). The specs are almost identical to the G12T-75, except that it handles 100 watts instead of 75.

Just like the G12T-75, but with a lot more bottom end. I play extremely heavy metal, and the relaxed mids/tight bottom end of the G12T series is right up my alley. I have a couple of Marshall 4x12's that have the 75's in them, and I usually have to use a BBE Sonic Maximizer to get enough bottom end out of them to suit my taste (my tone is bass heavy). I had another 4x12 that I had used various speakers in for a while trying to find the right speakers for that particular cab (it's a Madison cabinet, well built, but the stock speakers didn't like my 5150, or vice versa, because it sounded like crap. The stock drivers were Celestion G12K-85's, you can read my review of them too). After trying a bunch of different speakers with less than satisfying results, I was all set to by a set of G12T-75's, since my 5150 loves the Marshall cabs. Between a combination of curiousity and finding a killer deal on them, I decided to try the G12T-100's. THEY ROCK. I get all the bottom end that I need without having to run a BBE, and I still have the clarity that made the 75's an industry standard. There is a hair less top end on the 100's, but I'm talking miniscule, and the trade off is a ton more bottom end. If you like the 75's but want to be smacked in the chest a little harder, do yourself a favor and pick up a cab loaded with the 100's.

I've been using Celestions for years and they are very well built, very durable speakers. Nothing holds up well when you abuse it, but as long as you don't leave your cabs in a moldy basement for years to dry rot, you should be fine.

Celestion has a pretty good homepage. They have a "tone finder" to help you find the best match for your amp and desired sound. You tell them what amp you use and what style you play and they tell you what they would recommend. They also have a "Dr. Decibal" guy that answers email questions, I sent one question and got an answer the next day, but I sent a separate question a different time and never heard back, so take it for what it's worth. They are in England, so if you are in the US, the homepage is really all you have in the way of customer service.

They aren't cheap, I only got a deal on them because I was buying them second hand. If you want to buy new drivers and are on a budget, I recommend Eminence. However, if you don't mind spending a few more $$, Celestions are great and this particular speaker is the bomb, at least for my taste.
