I bought these speakers off of ebay. i was looking for something cheap to put in wedge cabinets for guitar use and not P.A. i use a digitech gnx3000 with these. i don't have a horn in the wedges so the 12" speakers have to do it all. the Celestion K12S-100 were listed as P.A. speakers but i found they do more than that.

the Celestion K12S-100 speakers are surprisingly good for a number of uses. i tried them in guitar cabinets and in floor monitor wedges and both provided some great tones. i finally settled on having the speakers in floor wedge monitors firing up at me. i use the digitech gnx3000 for basic tone. i find the speaker to sound good weather i use the cabinet modeling or not. with the modeling on, it sounds slightly warmer as the gnx3000 rolls off some highs. you can still get that classic Celestion tone though. i would compare this more to the marshall 1960a cabinet with more fat midrange and lows. ***this makes and excellent speaker for any modeling amp.***i should also mention that it's very loud and gets warmer and fatter with more volume.

would buy this again to use with any modeling head or rig. also great for use in a lower powered P.A. speaker. did i mention that it's very loud?
