I'm running four Celestion Super 65's through a Kustom cabinet (same construction and such as a higher end Marshall cab). They are 65 watts/8 Ohm speakers. What else can I say, they're speakers.

I was really looking for that nice, full, rich 4x12 sound since my only other cab is a Marshall 8222 (2x12, celestion g12t's). A friend of mine bought the same cabinet (slant face) and it sounded alright for the few moments I heard it, so I bought my own 4x12 (flat face). I brought it home and opened it up into a clean channel of my Sovtek Tube Midget 50H: Ass. I was highly dissapointed. I then tried it out through the distortion channel of the amp and it gnarled nicely, with creamy tone and defined bass. Only thing is: i'm not into metal-ish lead tone, i'm an indie melody kid. Gain-y, these speakers sound nice. Clean, it's a rough and bassy fart that you can't EQ out no matter what. I'm highly dissapointed overall and I'm taking the cabinet back tomorrow... i'll build my own 2x12 with celestion vintage 30s.

Speakers are speakers are speakers... unless you have a full open-back then you shouldn't worry.

I've only been playing for 8 years...but i know enough to say that 4 12" Celestion Super 65s aren't my cup of tea. If you're into gainy amp channels then these are definately for you. However, if you like your clean channel, steer clear of these... they're full of hot ass.
