This amp was made around 98-2000. The amp is much more versatile than it looks. I play metal and this sucker is LOUD. It is solid state, but that's okay, what I save on re-tubing, I gain on just "plug n playin' with it. Yeah, all kind of switches, inputs, outputs, but I just play it. It actually sounds like a british stack with the dual 10" drivers in it.

The amp sounds good on low volume with hi gain and can scream with hi volume and gain. I don't use the stereo chorus much, but it has a nice "clapton-esque" "badge" type swirling sound when used. The distortion is great and I use a Keeley modded Rat to push it further...this amp is durable.

I think I can depend on it. It "lives" in my van when I'm not gigging, so it goes to van to stage every week for the past 7 years now. I guess that's durable !

I once wanted a schematic and Charvel said it was made by Jackson in England. I ended up have a tech write it out for me, much easier.

I've been playing for 18 years and have used this amp for the last seven of them. If I could ever find another one I would buy it and run as a stack.

I was told that this amp was made in the late 90's and it appears to be believable. What is "unbelievable" is the variety and tone of this solid state amp. If I closed my eyes and played with the gain on about 6, I would swear that this was a tube driven amp.

The amp has a nice stereo chorus effect with the dual 12" speakers. The tone in this dual channel amp can go from shimmering clean to nasty overdriven distortion. (Chet Atkins to The Chili Peppers). I use a Strat and an SG with this amp and it sounds great with both guitars. The reverb is really nice, without adding the chorus and visa versa. There are many controls to tweak the sounds that you can get.

I've been using it two or three times a week since finding it on a guitar forum's classified ad board and it takes a beating, but keeps on fighting. In the 8 months that I've had it, I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

I contacted Jackson Guitars and was told that Charvel made these amps under a contract with Lee Jackson, which there is no affiliation. I could not find any info on the Lee Jackson amps, but I remember hearing some good things about them in 1998-99.

Ive been playing for 30+ years and I bought this amp for small gigs not knowing how loud it could get, especially when using an extension cab. That gives you more power and a nice stereo output even without the chorus on. I now use this amp for all of my gigs because I have an extension 1-12" cab that works very well with this amp. If I was to compare it with another amp, I'd say it's kind of like a Twin Reverb, but lighter, no tubes and better reverb.

This is a rare find ! I found this amp in a pawnshop for $300. It is a twin-ten inch speaker model. It has stereo chorus with many variations. This could be the BEST chorus sound I've ever heard and I've been playing guitar for 40 years.

I use this amp with an 80's Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson Les Paul and I'm surprised by how loud it is. There are many settings on both channels that let me dial in the tones that I like.
This amp has good clean headroom and the second channel has a warm overdriven tube-like tone to it. I've asked around and heard that these were prototype amps and were never produced in high quantities.

This amp is built durable and has edge corners on all edges to protect it. I have used this amp on gigs without a backup and will be doing more of them with this amp.
I wish it had side handles, instead of the single top handle, but it's not a big deal.

I have contacted all of the Charvel dealers and not one could provide me with any schematic or info with the exception of one dealer in MA who said that Charvel sold their interest in Amps to an English (U.K.) company, but wasn't sure who ?
In the three months that I've had it, I've had no problems, but I'm just so amazed by this amp and was hoping to find out more about it.

I've been playing full time for 30+ years now and I'm always looking for a "good deal." Well, this amp was a GREAT DEAL ! I love the variety of tone and sounds that can be dialed in. I would compare this with any dual 10" amp (most are dual 12").
In closing, I'd just like to say that I own 7 amplifiers from vintage Fender and Vox to current Dr Z and Rivera, but this Charvel (by Jackson, it says) is the best sounding amp of them all. If you ever see one like this, either buy it or let me know where and I'll buy it. I can't say enough good things about this combo amp !
