Brand new sonic copy of Buddy Guys Bassman. I compare it with my original 58 Bassman A/B testing. 2 Channels four inputs total. This amp has a bias pot added but otherwise Basic feature only No channel Switching, effects loops or headphones. It doesn't need this crap. But very versatile. Many 50's guys would run more than 1 instrument or a mike. It sounds good with anything plugged in

Sound Quality : 10
Classic Bassman Tone. Powerful, crystal clear highs .Distorts about 5 or 6 on the dial and provides incredible creamy distorted tones. Harmonics fly out of this amp. Take out the new tubes and put in NOS tubes and it sounds exactly like my original Amp. The potentiomters'specially made for this amp make a huge difference in tone. A little more aggresive and powerful sounding than the Fender LTD re-issue Bassman, which is an excellent sounding Bassman. The Chicago Blues Box Amp is much better built than the sort of cheap built Fender re-issue. The Buddy Guy is roadworthy

Reliability : 10
New Amp, but it looks like it is built like a Tank. I would gig with it and it has a beatiful cover. All Hardware looks heavy duty

Customer Support : 10
I talked to Dan Butler who has given a long Warrenty. He is a phone call or E-mail away. He worked for a year researching Amp and it shows.

Overall Rating : 10
Expensive, But a life long one Amp which is worth it. The built Quality, attention to detail, and replication of vintage parts is expensive and most builders will nickle and dime you into bad tone. Plus being #13 of 50 and signed by Mr. Guy should help future value
