Off the bat, I want to state that this is a quality amp through and through. I ordered this amp because I wanted a well-built Tweed Deluxe, and Craig delivered in spades. With Craig Collins, you get to customize the amp to your liking, and mine was done up to the 9's. I had my tweed deluxe double-lacquered, with a very sweet Weber
12A125-A Alnico speaker. The finish and look is completely flawless. This amp rivals the boutique boys big-time!
If you're familiar with Tweed Deluxes, this one is almost an exact replica. Craig does amazing work!! Just check out his website at collinsamps.com for his recent builds pics.
For the simplicity of this circuit, its gets a sweet 10 rating.
Sound Quality

Rich, warm, 3-D, growling.... Sounds like a Tweed Deluxe, well it is! The sound was in my head all these years, and this amp made it come true. There isn't much involved tweak-wise, just your standard 4-inputs, 2 for normal, 2 for bright, with 2 volume controls, and a global tone control.
One thing I noticed is that the amp is very interactive, with blossoming overtones, sweet mids, clear highs, and a deep yet tight bass.
It also reacts to tube changes. I tend to favor a 5751, instead of a 12AX7. It warms the amp up, and smooths it out, while giving a little more headroom. I have a nice clean sound till about 3-4, then the overdrive tapers up as you increase the volume. It does exactly what its suppose to do! Fantastic tones with all my guitars!

I bugged the living daylights out of Craig for days and days. I even bugged him when I received the amp. Not once did he lose his cool, and he was more then patient and professional with me at all time. The amp was a little late getting built because it was over the holidays, and the weather was terrible, but to make up for this inconvenience, Craig threw in some NOS tubes. What a gentleman. He even adds a customized and personalized tube chart that states the amp was hand-built for me. What a classy touch. I don't see Victoria doing that for anyone.

Everything that I ever wanted and expected, Craig delivered. My amp quest is over. My Tweed Deluxe is a work of art. Craig has an unbeatable price, and selection of amps to choose from, and a quality that is on par with all the boutique builders out there, and working mans prices.
This one is a keeper. Thank you for all that you've done Mr. Collins, I love my amp!
