3 inputs, one one and one volume knob - truly minimalist. It's got a kewl pseudo red power light though. 6 inch driver of unknown origin - Made in Montreal, Quebec EH! Probably mid sixties. 3 tube - 12AX7 preamp, 50C5 Output, 35W4 rectifier - all hand wired - point to point. Lets just say it's simple. Hey..I paid $7 bucks CDN ata goodwill for it...

After replacing the output tube, the amp has an amazing amount of tone. Breaks up nicely when the volume pot is pushed half way. The usual amount of hum from a cheap amp - $7 bucks. Used my '63 Rickenbacker 610 and Tokai Telecaster copy. Don't bother using any effects, it's just not meant for that. At 6 watts it's no power house, but when let wide open, Blues tone is serious. I say it's a real poor mans champ.

Well, it works when it's turned on. After replacing the preamp and output tubes, it's been very good. I throw it in the back of my car and have no fear of having it stolen - it looks that cheap!

The company that made these was located in Montreal, they made a lot of these cheap amps, probably under many different names. They've long since folded, probably the combination of a couple of factors - cheap japanese imports (at the time) and the fact of the labelling on the amp is not bilingual:-)
