This is a 6 watt valve amp that is perfect for the studio, Its features are volume, treble, bass and master volume. It may seem a bit minimal, but the range of tones you can get from this thing. I think Cornford know what they are doing when it comes to making amps. anyway what more could you possibly need!

Sound Quality : 10
This amp has every tone you could ever need, from heavy metal to completely clean. every tone as satisfying as the last. Its cannot be described in words, just play one!! then you will understand that this is the finest tone ever. absolutely unbelievable!!!

The customer support from this company is the best i have ever dealt with. After your have dealt with a company of such integrity you will realise what Arseholes large faceless companies like Marshall are!.
I dealt with Paul Cornford personally and i can tell you he is one of the nicest blokes in the world!.

This is a 6w Amp but with a 12 inch speaker. It is designed for purist guitar players. Those that like to achieve tonal variation by using the guitar volume rather than fiddling with amplifier controls.
The amp has all the basics for tone other than reverb. There is a preamp bass treble high and low impedance plugs and a tone switch that shifts the frequency range up.

Its basically easy to use. However for a 6 watt amp its incredibly large, not that heavy but large.

Sound Quality : 9
I use with a Gibson ES 335 . I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, but mostly acoustic so getting a good sound from an amp is hard for me. This amp makes it easier. I play with acoustic guitarists, key boards and saxes but no drums.

The amp is almost perfect for that. Also I can turn it up and the baby sleeps on.

Changing the guitar volume from 8 to 10 gives significant overdrive without even fiddling with the amp preamp control. so its easy to change sound and volume without having a pedal.

The amp makes it easy to hear what difference your attack is making to the sound.

So for what I do this is nearly perfect

Reliability : No Opinion
Haven't had it long enough to comment. Seems very well built as you would expect.
Because it is designed to be played with the volume up the tubes probably won't last that long. There is no standby switch which is a bit of a hassle.

Customer Support : No Opinion
customer support is great, ring them up and have a chat, its a small firm.

I read a lot of amp reviews and tried out some big amps in shops. I am concious that most of the time I play on my own.
I wanted a big amp sound a low volume. This amp delivers perfectly. If I was in a band (and with 4 children and a 60 hour a week job when would that be) I would just mke the amp.
