4,8,16 ohm selectable...what other features can u get??? im not sure...

Sound Quality : 10
iuse it primarily for hardcore sort of emo attempt, but also for a quirky punk band...is also house gear at a venue i run...gets used all the irme by diofferent people with different heads and by me at every gig i play regardless of which band im with that night..its a workhorse and loks like one now too. Had my cab for 2 years...origianlly used a peavey wolfgang and a marshall MG100 thru it...uck...then went to using a JCM900 sl-x 2500 (best marshall end of discussion sorry) for about a year or so but still gets used in my punk bands gigs. These days im running a Gibson SG with dimarzio drop sonic in bridge, into mesa studio pre, into a mesa simulclass 295...i take this cab to every gig and it stays on backline, basically i let all the support bands use it too.

so point here is, ive tried thru it marshall, mesa, and heard through it just about every guitar amp i can think of miced and unmiced...and after two years the new gear honeymoon period is definately over. Great sounding cab...everyone who uses it mentions what crazy lows it has on it but clear highs and how their amp sounded sooo much better through it...one guy was using a mode4 half stack used my cab for the night and asked on the spot if i wanted to swap...naturally i declined. good all round cab, mines a B so has ridiculous resnance from it, i like that fact tho and take advantage of it fully...i get a nice slicing tone which cuts thru in the mix but still has noce warm low end and thump when i mute...not to mention the mesa midrange which fits lovely in the mix with the other guitarist in the band who uses my 900sl-x thru a marshall cab with 75s in. all in all a great workhorse, great sound no matter what u put thru it and low end with clarity...no farting even at 95w stereo volume 7/8.

Reliability : 10
Never broken down in 2 years and COUNTLESS gigs, even retarded kids with spider 2's cant break this thing, it has torn tolex (thanking myself not buying a mesa with the nice leather mmm itd be gone by now)some cock put a fag out on it..its fell down stairs, been shipped around unflghtcased...had 33 new sets of wheels that ive bodged on myself and is still running and still sound lovely. steel handles, wood is about 6cm thick all round, steel grill on front which still hasnt caved in...i dont think its going anytime soon

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with em...good

Overall Rating : 10
Im 20, been playing 3.5 years...gigging for 3 of them as i picked guitar up VERY quickly (musical background anyways) Been the head promoter at a venue for 2 years bought this cab when i started out for me and as house equipment for travelling bands or inase by some wierd fluke something goes wrong and noone can bring backline etc.

Overall id say for the price i paid iwouldnt find a better cab...to replace this i would HAVE to buy a bognor/mesa cab or something as my workhorse in terms of sonic and build quality, BUT then i prob wouldnt be so easy lettin someone else use it...so its a sort of catch 22 situation...i wil probably always use this cab, its a mess and is worth more to me than what i could sell it for with all the action its seen...if it were lost or stolen...itd take me about 2 seconds to run outside n catch the guy coz he wouldnt be getting very far with it (weighs about same as a mesa rec cab). i have no intention of replacing it at all. yes i have played through other cabs before, through my business and supporting other bands and some days NOT being able to take my BV cab i have seen many cabs brought thru by many bands..in the last two years ive played thru engl, framus, mesa traditional and rectifier, bognor, many many marshall cabs of all shapes sizes and class...carvin legacy was a nice cab actually and tobe fair...although i do liek the sound of mesa and carvin cabs and engl cabs...they wouldnt last a month without being worthless...im actually happy with this cab...strange huh...ive had it twoyears and i never even think about replacing it.....its the cab for me ad my needs and my drunken-ness...id feel guilty puting mesa xab through what this baby goes thru ona daily basis.

Overall, if ur a drunken gigging musician who doesnt wanna throw a fit every time someone bumps into something woth ur cab or u get a beer ring onit BUT u still want value for ur cash, good build uality and great sounding, plenty of low end, pronounced mids and razor highs but listenable a the same time...get this. if ur a finnicky tone freak who drinks water before a show and flightcases ur guitar LEADS incase someone steps on em and looks at th enaame crate and goes uck before uve even tried it...get mesa,, theyre pretty much te same cept the mids on this are far more pronunced and not dooped down like in the mesa cabs

Slant cab with casters. Came with the Crate American Vintage speakers, but put Celestions in instead. Originally a stereo or mono cab, mine rewired just for mono.

Sound Quality : 10
With the original Crate speakers, it's a dog. I put the Avatar Hellatone 30s & 60s in it and it can stand up to just about any cab now. The Hellatones by the way are Celestion G12H30s and Vintage 30s. They're not copies of them, they ARE them. Avatar just breaks them in by playing music through them and relabels them as Hellatones. Pull off the Hellatone label and the original Celestion label is underneath. I've used the Crate Blue Voodoo 60 (awesome!), a 59 Fender bassman with a Mercury tranny with 4,8 & 16 ohms selector, 73 Marshall metal face 50 watter, Univox U1246B and Vox Valvetronix through this cabinet and all of them sounded like they came from the heavens. They have not sounded this good through any other cab, including a 73 Marshall slant with blackbacks in it. Obviously the speakers are giving most of the incredible tone, but the cabinet takes nothing away and actually adds some tone as well. Grab one and load it with the RIGHT speakers.

Reliability : 8
Sturdy cabinet. You can take it anywhere.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
Including the speakers I paid $430 for this cabinet. That is a BARGAIN and a half. You can pay double that or more for a new cab that will sound about the same as this one. Really only stuff like a Mesa cabinet would sound different, but that's a different kind of tone, not a better sounding cab. Get one and enjoy it. Again--make sure you put in the right speakers!!!!

This is a 4x12 cabinet with 30w celestions. Thought it would jsut be used for metal but sounds great throughout the spectrum. I have had 4x12's in the best that JUST had a bottom end or JUST a top end. This one covers the gammut and sounds great with an acoustic and I even did a gig with a bass head running through it.

Sound Quality : 10
I use it currently with a crate solid state head through a boss me-50. Even though it sounds incredible with this I am currently searching for an all-tube head to replace it. If it sounds this good with a P.O.S. amp....cant imagine what it would sound like with a real amp.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank.....

Overall this was a fantastic value...I bought it for $299 on a labor day blow out. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

what's there to say?.....4 alleged celestions (no labels) in an open 4x12....mine must be older, as it only runs at 4 and 16 ohms...built like a tank, and as heavy as one too....got it for $40 and a old crappy laptop...i really like the handles

Sound Quality : 5
it sounds ok, but not as good as my JCM900 cab....seesm to rattle some when pushed, although numerous attempts at tightening hardware inside and out have not fixed this problem

Reliability : 5
i doubt i could break it if i tried

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 5
it's mainly used to get the Marshall cab up in my ear...it just doesn't have the warmth and personality of the Marshall...i agree with a previous reviewer, in that i do not get why they're so popular

4/8/16 OHMS....Mono or Stereo! 4 Vintage 30 celestions! Nice...Nice looking cab....Looks so much like the boogie though....I think it was Crate's answer to it in a competitive market.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a 5150 head modded by voodoo amps, and rack gear into this cab...I had the whole stack, but I only really needed the one 4x12, so I traded a buddy for something. I rock to metal so it suites me well. Play with 2 custom Ibanez guitars with Air Nortons and Steve's Specials(Dimarzio) in them....Sounds good!

Reliability : 10
Never...Ever had a problem with them....they are like 110 ibs a peice....heavy as fuck, but solid....No bass farting...haha

Overall Rating : 8
Nice cab....i like the sound of bottoms over slants, but this cab is solid...Same as a rectifier cab, but won't tear as easy either. I have had mine for 5 years....never a problem! and I gig with it!

The exact cab I have is the BV412RVB. The features on this amp are, in my opinion, one of the best a cab can have. The Mesa/Boogie standard 4x12 cab is close, but the crate can work at 4, 8, and 16 ohm, unlike the Mesa at only 4 and 8. It also has a switch for stereo/mono operation, stereo for studio recording (better tone) and mono (less brightness) for loud live sounds. The 4x12's can also be split, so you can actually run two heads through it at once, or if you have digital delay, have it bounce back and forth in the cab.

Sound Quality : 10
My main guitar now is a majorly upgraded Jackson DXMG. It sounds like a basic guitar not for pros but I put in EMG pickups (81 bridge 85 neck), original Floyd Rose trem (with extreme recess cavity) and use high gauge stings for baritone standard (B). With this cab i have been playing primarily progressive metal (Dream Theater, Opeth) to melodic/death metal (Carcass, Cannibal Corpse). I use a Crate (not for long) solidstate head with ok distortion and clean. With the gain, treble and mids tweeked, I can get a brutal, clear sound out of the Celestions (equipted with Vintage 30's). The clean is also clear, and ive tried some blues/jazz settings and the sound crisp as well, but this amp was probably made for handling of high gain/distortion/valve power.

Reliability : 10
Ive used it for jamming practice and only one live use, but now its primarily home use. It is definatly a gig amp, rugged and built to last. I have not experienced any problems with it and its nearly impossible to blow it/destroy it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
haven't had to call in on it - no problems!

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I got it from a guy getting rid of some of his gear for $300. I HAD to get it then - to good of a deal. The retail price is between $500 and $650, and definatly worth it, as compared to the Mesa's which are close to $800 new. The Vintage Celestions alone are worth it. I dont mean to bag on Mesa's, but this is almost the same thing for a better price, and not as damn popular as Mesa/Boogie.

Sick sound, Deep Low's, Good Highs. The Vintage 30's have great town, better then the greenbacks used by marshalls. Mesa Boogie cabs have the same speakers. I like the Ohms selector.

Sound Quality : 9
I plug A gibson 60's reissue les paul or SG special into either the matching 120HB or a Marshall JCM 800. Low End, good for Metal, Modern Rock, but has a sweet sweet clean for anything bluesy.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank.

N/A, although i had trouble getting my crate head repaired so... who knows.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 5 years now, started as a punk and moved to metal and prog rock, If it were stolen or lost i would have to say yes to buying another one, it sounds as good or better then the Mesa cabs and they go for $899 easy, It's worth it, if you don't like Crate, paint it black and rip off the logo, it's worth it.

2002 Crate Blue Voodoo 4-12 slant and bottom. Took the backs off and they are Celestion Vintage 30's of the 60 watt variety. I think these speakers project and sound worlds better than the Crate Vintage speaker loaded cabinets. So be carefull and look for the smaller center cone on the speakers they are most likely the Celestion Vintage 30's. I use these cabs for recording, practice and gigging and they sound Great every time. These cabs have great bottom end due in part to how thick the wood of the cabs are and is a higher quality wood. Weighs around a hundred pounds easy.

Sound Quality : 10
I use A Jackson DXMG,DX10D and a 1965 Fender Jaguar(all original) through a Crate Blue Voodoo head with a POD XT in the effects loop as the preamp. I am able to obtain so many amazing tones and tube loud I might add that it is amazing. I litterally can mimic nearly any amp sound with this setup. Think Vetta head with Tube power and warmth and thats kind of what I have. And these Crate Blue Voodoo bottoms are great for every tone in the my arsenal. And Frickin Loud enough for large venues easy.

Reliability : 9
Heavily built and Heavy. Seems to be road worthy.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing guitar for 26 years and owned other Celestion Loaded cabs and these have a little more bottom end than the Marshalls
I had and were on par with the Soldano cab with Vintage 30's a friend has. I got a great deal for high quality speakers in a Heavily built enclosure that will probably last many many years and sound really good each time.

What can you say about a cab...but it can switch from 16 ohms to 4 ohms or 8 ohms if you run it in stereo. thats all

Sound Quality : 2
HORRIBLE. It truly disgusts me. i bought it when a guy on ebay said it had celestions but man this one is the cheap version and is really horrible. its completely thin, gets muddy and too bright. its really a lot of noise. i have a jcm 900 and boy i can hear it trying to get some decent tone, but the second it hits the cab, it muds up and turns into a little crate practice amp. i played the head through my avt50 combo one time and it sounded SO MUCH BETTER if i dont get a cab by our next show, i dont mind looking like a girl and playing the head through my combo.

Reliability : 10
hasn't broke and i even got it used

wouldnt know

Overall Rating : 3
I really think its horrible. dont buy it under any circumstances. i've seen so many people with them though and i have no clue how. really i know a lot of people come here and criticize people who hate certain equipment but just try it out and compare it to any cab with celestions. if you don't like tone or maybe like to stick to really quiet clean, treby bluegrass, it might work. or if you can only spend like 200
