weighing in at around 55 lbs this amp is a little bit of a lug! But then again it does kick out loads of volume and compliments any guitar you play through it. Here are the features of this lovely amp:
From the front we have three seperate inputs, one with an xlr. The instrument input gives you all the dials you'll ever need to get the right sound you want with an onboard equalizer to boot! The xlr input allows for optimal vocals(nice smooth/warm tone)and there's one more input for either another instrument or mic, drum machine...whatever! What sucks is that there's only two dials for these last two inputs: gain and effects-send. These "effects" are reverb and chorus which are surprisingly very deacent!
From the back there is a footswitch/effects-loops/tweeter and line-outputs witch features a level dial and hi/lo balance outputs. Everything you would ever need except for a headphones jack?!?!
The entire cabinet tilts back so it acts great as a monitor. This amp works for fantastic for live performances as well as band practices, and on top of it all it LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!
The only draw back to this amp is that the 2nd and 3rd inputs have low signal boosts. I really wish that Crate had just droped the 3rd input all together and instead added some more dials to control the mids, highs, and lows for your vocals.

The sound is beautiful if you are just looking for a great acoustic feel. It has a switch for guitars that are equiped with either active or piezo pickups. But I find that I'm not satisfied with the vocal sound. It's good but not as nice as your instrument chanel.

This thing is an animal in my mind. Very strong so I would say that it's very reliable.

If this item were stolen or lost I would.....cry! Then I'd probably go out hunting for it again at a bargan price, because I just don't have $1,000 to throw around. I love the tone and pure powerful sound of this amp. Then again I hate the lack of quality it produces for vocal quality. So it looses two points overall for that 3rd useless input, and the dials that are missing because of it. But in the end I love the crate ca112. It is beautiful asthetically and it makes any acoustic sing with it's true acoustic tone. When you buy an acoustic amp you want it to sound like there's a mic infront of your guitar. And this amp gives it to you with no lost quality when you turn up the volume! If that's what you're looking for then look no further.
