Playing an alvarez accoustic elec through it, singing through a carvin Mic. 2nd guitar is a Tak, with a markley soundhole pickup. both sound fine. Country and contemporary, a little rock.
Has some his with the volume up, and the gains donw, but adjusts out fine but turning up the gains, and mastering with the volume (like you're supposed to)

I bought it sight unseen (and unheard for that matter), but I had tried the CA125D and the CA112D, and liked them nearly as much as the California blonde (especially the CA112D), and far more than the manufactured sound of the Fenders (jr. and SFX). Would have bought the Blonde, but this thing is alot more for the $$, and the quality is there.
I'd be critical if there was a need, but this thing has been great so far. Only problem is finding one to test out. I never could
