I don't know what year it was made but it must be 1990 something. I typically play old rock. 60' & 70's. Does this thing meet all of my needs? no. But what can you expect for the size and price. 2 channels, head phone jack so I can hear myself without waking the wife and kids, ok distortion. I wouldn't take this amp to a gig, but for going over to a friends house to have fun it's great.

Sound Quality : 6
It works better with my old strat copy than with my Les Paul or Guild. It can be noisy and give unwanted feed-back when you use SCG. Clean channel is fair but lacks power.

Reliability : 10
This thing is a brick.

I have been playing 40 years. When I am home I use my old Roland, for Jazz and good clean sound. When out by the pool this little crate is great. This is the only amp that I own that I would loan out. Because it's tough and if it got lost it wouldn't break me, but I would miss it.

I have no idea what year this was made in... I assume it was in the late 90's or later, I can't seem to find very much information on it though. It had 1 input, 1 line out and footswitch input, and a heaphones jack. It has a SCG channel in which had used quite often, and the solid clean state that can be tweaked (which also affects the SCG channel) I wish it had some small effects such as reverb at the least. I use it at home and it hasn't failed me yet.

Sound Quality : 5
I use a Gibson Les Paul copy (I heard the company is no longer operating) With it's stock humbucking pickups. It is suprisingly loud for such a small thing. It said it is 30 watts, but sounds louder. I got a nice Metallica like sound by turning up the high and low to max while cutting the mid off completely, Seek and Destroy sounded great coming out of that thing. I can't say that it has a variety of sounds without the aid of external FX. The clean channel did not distort at high volumes, in fact I think that is why I liked it. Not very brutal distortion without the aid of FX.

Reliability : 10
I can depend on it. I purchased it from a very abusive guitar player two years ago. Hasn't failed me yet....(Though I do plan on selling it to make room for bigger, better amp.)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Didn't need to.

Ive been playing almost three years. I rely on my computer suprisingly for all my amplification/recording needs, I plan on purchasing more equipment. if it were stolen I wouldn't buy a new one.
I need bigger and better stuff.

I wish I had a Gibson EDS - 1275 Double neck SG in heritage cherry.

i think this is the best amplifier i ever had. i cant believe how powerful it is for such a small amp. the distortion is fine for me for a small amp. look guys. if you knew anything about amps you would buy a bigger one. to hell with all the bad comments regarding this unique little crate amplifier. its great for its size. you want a marshall stack, buy one. you want an amp for a garage band, buy a crate!

Sound Quality : 10
i use honer strat copy. this amp gives great crunch for its size. it has damn good variety if you know what a mid switch can do. very clean sounding amp. the distortion is great if you know what a mid switch is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reliability : 8
i would definately use this amp at a gig. if you cant hear it, your drummer needs to back off.

Customer Support : No Opinion

look... this is a damn good amp! if you cant make it sound good, you just cant play... or you think size matters. the guitar player that is good can appriciate this small wonder of an amp. crate is good quality

Loud amp but if a drummer hits the cymbals you can't hear yourself.
Solid State

Sound Quality : 7
I use a Fender Strat. Stock Pickups
distortion sounds like crap. Don't bither with it spend the money on a pedal for gods sake.
Clean ain't tat bad sounds a bit fuzzy though when playing low notes.

Reliability : 10
It fell out of my car and still sounded the same, my friend kicked one time never did anything to it. Its not a bad backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them

basic setup master volume distortion line outheadphone jack three band eq footswitchable channels solid state. i play mostly in my room or garage so plenty of power fo me wish it had reverb i give it a 7 cause of no reverb

Sound Quality : 4
i've been using this amp with a squier 2 strat or about a yr cleaan is pretty good but a little harsh but thats probably just the crap pickups in my guitar but the built in distortion sux it has a really harsh brittle fuzzy trebly distortion and with my distortion pedal it gets so muddy u cant stand it and the clean channel breaks up at about half volume

Reliability : 10
very reliable this thing could survive being dropped out of a plane and wouldnt have a scratch on it but wouldnt use it live not enough power for that

Customer Support : No Opinion
i dunno

Overall Rating : 5
ive been playin about a yr i own a squier 2 strat dunlop original crybaby wah a peavey chorus which kicks ass and a rouge smt 5 distortion and like i said earlier clean this amp is pretty good but distorted dont even bother tryin if it were lost or stolen i'd be pissed but id get over it as soon as i finish payin of my fender roc pro 1000

For an amp of this size, i'd say it has a lot of features. Clean, Distortion, 3 band eq, headphone jack, input jack, output jack. I would have been happier with reverb instead of distortion.

Sound Quality : 8
I use a standard tele and it sounds fine. I play rock music, basically any kind. This amp suits these styles if you're just practicing. No buzz, doesn't get distorted at loud volume, and it does go pretty loud. i've never heard the distortion because the switch broke before i recieved the amp. Overall pretty decent.

Reliability : 9
Has withstood a couple of drops from about 3 feet, getting kicked around (literally), punched, thrown, etc. And the only thing that was broken was the dist switch, i guess my friend mustve really screwed it up before he gave it to me.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never ever dealt with them and never plan to. Even if the amp emits radiation and shrinks my testicles... well.. actually. maybe then.

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing only for a year and a half. Very reliable, decent sound, pretty loud. If only it had reverb. Well if it were stolen or lost, i wouldnt care as i got it for free. i would probably go out and buy a pathfinder because i love that vox tone.. and according to the reviews on this site it has it.

Hi, Mid and Low; clean & distorted sounds. 2 instruments can play through it at once. Nice.

Sound Quality : 4
A fair variety - distortion is just a bit fuzzy - nothing too frightening. Suffers from no reverb - hence the 4.

Reliability : 8
Rugged build; after 10 years, the channel switch has given out a bit. But no real complaints.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 8
A good starter amp - can go quite loud when cranked up - enough to compete with drums.

i have no idea how old the thing is. it's ok for metal (i guess). two channels (clean and distortion). channel switching? there's an input for a footswitch, but i don't have one. no fx loop. headphone jack. i wish it had good distortion. i use it at home. it doesn't have enough power...it's a 30w, my friend's Crate 20w can get louder.

Sound Quality : 2
i'm using it with a B.C. Rich Platinum Series Ironbird...two humbuckers. it doesn't suit my style very well. it's not really noisy. the amp can make ok sounds...just clean and distorted. the clean channel gets overdriven at less than half volume, at: low-->full, mids-->off, highs-->about 3/4. the distortion SUCKS.

Reliability : 1
no, i can't depend on it. i don't know if it's ever broken down...i don't think so, though.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt w/ the company

i've been playing since july 2000...i have a B.C. Rich Platinum Series Ironbird and an Epiphone-built Tele-lookalike, and a DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal. if it were stolen or lost, i'd definitely get something else. i hate everything about it. i only bought it because of the price for the wattage. i wish it had a bit of ability to be good.

Very versatile amp. I've plugged many a guitar, footpedal, and bass into it, and it works great. It has a beautiful black color, and there are 3 equalization knobs which can be turned either clockwise or counter to fit your needs. Also has a distortion button and knob and a master volume knob to let you select a proper loudness. Also a headphone jack, a foot switch jack, and your favorite- a line out jack!

Sound Quality : 9
I use a 1963 Silvertone 6 string. I play whatever-rock, hard rock, classic rock, punk rock, old rock, new rock, bed rock, funk blues- but enough about me. Yeah, this amp sounds clear and the distortion sounds good also, i mean i've heard louder and heavier, but hey ya know, i'm not complaining.

Reliability : 10
JESUS GOD YES! This amp has been everywhere, has been kicked, thrown, dropped, shot, punched, bombed...(well, you know..) I've never had a problem with anything with it, it's short and stocky with a freakin thick frame and thick plastic protectors galore. It's so sturdy. Has many uses- chair, small table, car jack...

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to talk to them, never cared to, and probably never will, that is unless the thing shocks me and i need to sue- hey this is america, right?

Overall Rating : 10
I really like this amp, it's not real big at all, but it packs a good punch, and can really keep the neighbors up all night. If somehow, someway, some freakish accident only imaginable by the insane happens and this thing breaks- i'll definately look for another.
