basic inexpensive amp even at fullstakc, 3 channels, low, mid, high, solidstate, mid90s no fxloop in back.... could really use it, not enough power as with solidstate 300watts is minimum for efficiancy

Sound Quality : 8
everything is just alright with this amp and is a good beginner, i play a custom jackson and esp with emg h4 pickups, not too noisy i loved it when i was playing it around 96-99, pretty versatile used it in all environments hot, cold moist dry, clean isnt distorted easily at high volumes but its kinda quiet the distortion when mixed with a simple metalzone actualy was pretty brutal a nice surprise

Reliability : 6
no problems, other then its not loud enough for a band

Customer Support : 7
no problems

Overall Rating : 8
not bad for a beginner amp i loved it but its just too quiet, i wouldnt buy again cause not loud enough, but i did love the sounds, needs an fx loop so you can put some rack gear, above all great beginner stack

3channel amp, seems like something an intermediate guitarist without a lot of money (me) would by. It has enough power when it's miked at a small gig, but youd better get your drummer stay quiet if your practicing in a garage. 120 watts nevertheless, i wish it could sound a little better at higher volumes. The effects pedal's pretty cool, there is a lot of feedback when you have the first gain switch on alone. The reverb is pretty usless-get a fender if you want to play that kind of stuff. Looks cool stacked despite the big CRATE logo on each of the cabs.

Sound Quality : 7
I have a pretty crappy samick (les paul ripoff) guitar with a seymor-duncan bridge pickup. I play it through one of those cheap boss effects modeling panels, but it still sounds pretty good, unless you turn the volume past 6 (which is at least loud enough through a p.a.). This could be because of the speaker cabs that came with it. you could sell both 4x12 cabs to some sucker and have enough money to get one good marshall 4x12. Like i said before the first distortion channel (kind of a bright blues gain sound) gives you a lot of feedback, so i'd use both channels together (compressed grunge gain sound) when i want to get that kind of sound that i cant get with my boss panel alone. This amp is most likley for a hard TOOL kind of sound as long as you keep the mid down.

Reliability : 10
This is a solid state amp so you don't have to worry about tubes burning out. I don't have a backup amp so all i can say is it better not break down. I'm more worried about blowing out the speakers. I've had it for about half a year with no problems at all, so it's good enough for me.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I ordered it from American Musical Supply. I think it had a one year unlimmited warranty, but I haven't had any problems anyway.

It is my first amp that was over 15 watts, and i've only been playing for about four years. But i can say that you get a lot for what you pay for. You could probably find one, used, for even cheaper than what i payed for it and the sound wouldn't be much different. Although i just recently saw a digital crate amp a lot like this for the same price with more features. If i could do it over again i would have gotten one of those.
