I like all the features/distortion is fair/chorus is fair also
I like having dual stero outs!
Plenty of power. I usually only go 4 1/2 on the knobs.
AND YOU CAN USE A SINGLE PEDAL TO SWITCH ALL FX. You have to get one
of the newer three way pedals and the trick is you have to use a
stereo cord! Duh! I dont use the amp distortion anymore. I usually use a Mesa Boogie V-twin pedal, a BOSS Metal box(black, cant remember the model no.)and for light stuff I use a BOSS (orange) DS-1. My usual weapon of choice is a cheap mexican strat with a JB jr. single
slot, dual coil humbucker, nothin fancy, until we go triple platnum!

I have used this amp for almost all styles of rock/punk/metal even
classic rock. I use mostly strats, one Jackson and one Hammer. all
sound good. I dont like the sounds of this amp with Les Pauls.
I dont get much unwanted noise either channel or when switching.
One thing I do get is am radio reception with some strats with
guitar turned all the way down.

I have been using it for about 4 years gigging without a back up but
I still have fear. Sometimes then amp will start dropping in volume
on its own. One good slap on the top of it and its fine. Happens once
every three months or so. Repair shop cannot find anything wrong.

I've been playing guitar for about 13 years. I have several other
smaller peavy amps from back in the day. If lost or stolen I would
go with a mesa boogie FO-SHIZM! I'm into a different sound now.Crate makes great stuff I can afford. I loved my blue voodoo. I should have
never got rid of it. FOR SALE: Complete stack/ G120CXL 120WATT/TOP SLANT 4X12/BOTTOM STRAIGHT 4X12 BOTH CABS ARE CELESTION SPEAKERS AND

For a solid state amp from the early ninties this is a fairly good sounding amp. The distortion isn't rip you face off type mud distortion but you can get the right sound for about 90% of all songs played on the radio right now. Hey its a solid state 2x12 not a tube half stack and it isn't going to sound like one, doesn't cost like one either. I have used this for rock cover bands and hardcore punk bands and it sounds great in either situation. This amp gets loud enough for almost any situation, seriously...in a big show you stage volume shouldn't be that much anyway..you should be listening to the damn monitors. I have even played outside with it on two occasions.
Bad side is you need 2 seperate pedels to swich your channel reverb and chours, its two 1/4" jacks on the back is you can't just get a 3 way pedel, major pain. Also the channel does make a noise a "burp" if you will when you switch it.

I have had this amp for almost 10 years now i think. it still sounds great, but now the channel selector on the amp is broken, so i have have to use the foot pedel or i can't swich channels. Probably could get it fixed but i don't really see a point. I have mistreated this amp sence i got it, its even been droped down some stairs once...still works, sounds good.

My dad didn't pay much for this amp and it got me though about 7 or 8 bands, i lost count. I wouldn't buy this perticular amp if i were going out to buy an amp now, its just too old and there are too many new features that you can get on the new amps like built in FX processors, and slightly better solid state "tube sounding" distortion. Nice amp though..I'll allways have a soft spot in my heart for create as long as they make quility products which last at a price a working man can afford.

This amp is ok if you like smooth sounds and stuff like that, I was dissa pointed in it though. But it had some good features. Like 2 12 inch speakers, 2 channels, headphone jack and stuff like that. I whis h it had distortion, i have to use pedals just to get what i want out of it. Ive used this amp in some gigs, And it does have plenty of power.

It was ok. But it did not suit my music style which is korn, slipknot, stuff like that. I used a Ibanez RG-7421 one on it, and it sucked. Distortion what distortion, has none (if you know the secret to get distortion from the amp email me)

I've been playing for a short time. If it were stolen or lost i wouldn't care, 'cause it sucks. I liked its power, i hated how it has no distortion. I wish i had mesa and boogie. Don't make the same mistake i did, only get it if you like smooth sounds.

I've played this amp with a Strat, Tele, and Ibanez semihollowbody. It's been great for rock, funk, country, and jazz. The gain channel can get somewhat noisy and the amp occasionally picks up radio signals. The chorus is a nice feature. The reverb is decent, but don't expect to ride the waves like you can on a Fender Twin. This amp is plenty loud enough for most gigs - I've never had it past 4 1/2. The clean channel does break up a bit, particularly at high volumes and with a heavy playing style. The distortion's pretty nice - I really don't have any complaints about it: I can get anything from a nice old-school Bluesbreakers distortion to hard rock. It doesn't have quite the crunch of a Marshall stack, but I don't need that much.

For buying it used for $400 and having owned it for 10 years, it's been relatively problem free with one caveat: the solder joints on G120CXLs are known to go bad, which can cause an immediate loss of volume and power - it caused one nightmare at a gig. I've had it fixed by a reputable repairman and it's worked fine ever since. I've also had a problem or two with the footswitch but this was likely due to neglect.

When I bought this amp, I wanted something with a good chorus and distortion and I got it. I've had this amp for over 10 years and have definitely gotten my money's worth. I heard that this amp was rated one of the best values for the money. Once I can afford it, I will get something with a little nicer reverb and a presence control. Overall it's been quite a faithful companion.

This amp is totally versatile enough for the styles I play. It has 2 channels , effects loop, and a headphone jack. I love the clean channel and the dirty channel is just as good. The chorus and Reverb are a plus too. I use this amp at small gigs, parties and such. It has more power than I would ever need for these gigs. I ususally dont even have to turn it up but to about 3 1/2 or 4.

I play with a Epiphone Les Paul Standard and I use a Zoom 505 so my gear along with it is awesome. It suits my style alright but I wish that the distortion was a little warmer and not much in your face. If you turn down the level of destortion, it doesn't sound as good but it is still very nice.

I can depend on it. I've never had any problems. I don't really have backup except for a Crate 50 watter that my brother has. It has never broken down on me yet but i'v only had it for 8 months.

I love this amp, I would buy it again. It's the best amp for the money I believe. I love the different ranges of music i can play on it. I have used it in a Band concert for my School on the clean channel and I use it with the distortion channel just about every day when my band is practicing or performing. I like it better than my brothers 50 watt amp because of all the features. It also has wheels on the bottom so I can take it around to different places. It's hard to carry because it's so heavy. This one is a Crate Limited Edition model number 917 of 1000 made. I know a guy in another band around here that has the same model but older and it doesn't have wheels or a cloth cover so if you go out looking for one with wheels and a cloth cover I don't believe you'll get it in just a normal one but I'd defenantly buy it.
