This is a 2 channel 100 watt head that I have heard so much about in forums such as this one. I borrowed this head for a night from a friend just to try it out. Each channel has a boost switch & bright switch but the boost can only be accessed from the footswitch on channel 2! The effects loop can not be turned on/off from the foot switch - very strange for an amp of this reputation. It is way loud and tight. Alittle bit like a Boogie but not as "fuzzy" as Boogies get. It features a switch to go from 110volt to 220 volt to 240 volt & so can be used anywhere in the world easily. Not as versatile as my Bogner Ecstasy - this amp does a couple of things very well.

Sound Quality : 10
I used a Fender custom shop Tele and a Les Paul Custom - both sounded awesome with the clarity of each string clearly audible. It was a bit noisy on channel 2 & the boost just made it unbearable. The clean channel is gorgeous & the bright switch just made it sparkle with heaps of bottom end. The second channel sounded clear even in distortion mode. Not quite in that "vintage plexi" sort of area but still heaps of TONE!

Reliability : No Opinion
N/A. I only borrowed this amp for a few days so i cant answer this question. My friend has not had a problem with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
My friend spoke to Bob Bradshaw about the lack of an efx loop switch & channel 1 boost switch on the footswitch & Bob was very responsive to the idea and accepted the critisism. A true professional!

Overall Rating : 8
I usually run a Bogner 100B Ecstasy head which I describe as "versatile" - it does everything extremely well. I would describe the OD100 as "tone". Pure creamy sound but just not as flexible as the Bogner. I guess it depends what you want. If you had the OD100 sound with the Bogners versatility it would be the ultimate amp!

Dual channel all tube amp,4-5881/6L6,6-12ax7,independant eqs per channel, each channel has high and boost switching, plenty of power, can lower if needed, buffered fx loop,

Sound Quality : 10
Using a Robin Revival (*trat) w/Rio Grande vintage tall boys, amp seems to fit my music styles just fine,I do everything from country, rock to blues, amps is very quiet, setting I use are:Clean .gain on about 4-6 leave on 3,you eq to your taste, most of the time I run the lead channel on..gain..4-5..and level on 3.nice smooth overdrive with alot of clarity, not muddy at all,hit the boost and humbuck or single coil,,it's sings...I did not say scream..SINGS..Clean channel has lots of headroom, and the boost can be adjusted very easily internally for more or less gain.

Reliability : No Opinion

Got it 2 weeks ago.. two channel 2 boost .. clean and clean boost, overdrive and boost as distortion channel and bright controll for each channels. The bright controll is the key of the sound... not using bright ctrl will produce old plexi 50 watt marshall ( Scott Henderson Blues new album,Ty Tabor of Kings X and Joe Walsh Funk 49) to clean/dirty clean pre cbs super reverb and pro reverb. Using bright ctrl will produced sparkle twin reverb to modern clean sound to 100 waat plexi sound( Imagine Old VH and Raging Honkies Landau Bone)and modern hi gain sound...(Imagine Giant's Dan huff sound or landau Tales Album sound). One think you can set internally the volume between boost and normal on the drive channel..( Kooooool).. the boost controll really -really uses extra tube for more gain ( sounds like third channel of the amp). Easy to use.. This is straight forward amp.. no need midi, no need variac??(is it true variac),no need three to four confusing channel, no need triode, pentode.. just plug and you will get the right sound.. very clear guitar strings sound....must hear it.

Sound Quality : 10
I use my 65 Strat with Duncan pickups on the neck, fender american 50's custom shop on the midd, duncan cool rails on the bridge. I play from blues, pop, rock, to fusion. I someyimes using TS9 and voodo 1 . for the cln sound and normal drive channels to get more harshh boost sound. I am using peavey valverb and lexicon jamman on the effect loop. I used to have Rivera Knuckle head and Soldano SLO 100 and new marshalls but this OD100 amp knock me out.. really loud even playing on the low volume you still can get a good sound...( I mic it with 2m57 through my 4 track in my room...sound amazing) and you can hear clear between guitar strings..

Reliability : 10
Its flexible for playing at clubs.. I can make it on 5 minutes set up... One Head One Cabinets and two space effect rack..But still heavy enough for small person like me... I wish can paid Roadies...

Customer Support : 10
They all helpfull..Spoke with Martin Golub and Bob Bradshaw.. Once got a problem with the ground stuff and I called Bob from pay phone at supermarket.. he asnwered patiently all my question and solve the problem via phone.. isn't it kool?? they cool....So how can I say.. .. wow.. amazing....I live in NY and they are in LA... speedy coming...

This amp has 2 channels Clean and Dirty. Both channels have separate bright and boost switches. There is a footswitch provided. It has a tube effects loop as well. The amp does not come with reverb. All the controls are about as simple as it gets. I dialed into amazing tone seconds after I plugged in!

Sound Quality : 10
I compared this amp with a Bogner Ecstasy and the Soldano 100. I felt the amp had quite a bit more bottom then the Soldano. I was also more impressed with the distortion on this amp then the Bogner, which is saying a lot. The OD-100 seemed to breath more and deliver a warmer sound The amp also runs very quiet in terms of hiss etc. In terms of sounds this amp can get that Fender Clean ie. woody planky sound that really sparkles to the heaviest sound I have heard come out of an amp. This baby has serious balls! Simply put, this is the best sounding head I have heard to date, period.

Reliability : No Opinion
I just picked it up, so far so good.

Customer Support : 10
I called CAE to find out some info on the amp. I actually spoke to Bob Bradshaw himself. He was very helpful and more then willing to give me detailed answers to any of my questions. As a customer, I felt they really gave very solid support.

Overall Rating : 10
To this date, this is the best sounding amp I have heard. The Bogner was impressive, but this amp was easier to use, could nail any sound I got from the Bogner and then some, and it was a grand cheaper. I was not planning on buying an amp when I bought this head. I played the OD-100 and bought it based on it's incredible tone. It sounds that good.

2 channels of heavenly tone is all you need ! It features a great tube effects loop and the boost on the high gain channel is accessible via a footswitch. It is a basic 2 channel amp but you can get just about anything you want out of those two channels ! There is also a boost for the clean channel but it is not accessible from the footswitch provided.

Sound Quality : 10
WOW ! I have finally found the amp of my dreams ! Tone for days ! Warm, Fat, and punchy ! You can't make this amp sound bad no matter how you set the controls. The tone controls really work too, I mean a little touch goes a long way ! It's kinda like having two killer amps in one, the first channel sounds like the best old Fender tweed you have ever heard and the second channel is like an over the top Marshall plexi from hell (or heaven depending on your perspective) ! This amp is the shit !

Reliability : No Opinion
It's brand new, hard to tell ! Ask me again in a few years :^)

Customer Support : 10
The people at CAE have been real helpful and Bob Bradshaw's reputation speaks for itself !

Overall Rating : 10
You don't have an 11 on you rating scale but this amp is worthy of it !
