This cab was custom made to my requirements by the guys at CCC & I've yet to find any fault with it in terms of workmanship & tone. I play mostly retro Blues & Rock, but this cab will handle just about anything you throw at it- the great thing about it is the sheer clarity and freedom from that 'boxy' coloration most cheapo MDF based cabs suffer from.
it features a stereo amp input- from my requirements as I sometimes like to use two heads of different tones to cover a wider tone spectrum. I use a Ceriatone Overtone with either a Ceriatone 20w Marshall clone, or a 100w Marshall Plexi & modded Crate VC50. I fitted a pair of Celestion Gold alnicos, simply because I wanted the best tone possible.
The really neat thing is the built-in microphones which are a real boon on tight stages where space is at a premium and more mic stands just get in the way. The mics sound really great, and being enclosed means you get excellent separation from external noise from the drummer!

I use Les Pauls & Strats, and I'm a great believer in ensuring that everything in the signal chain is important. So I use the best signal cable for me (George L .155) through to hand-wired amps & oxygen free speaker cable. Having this cab essentially built for me is the last link in the chain to reach my quest for tone heaven (as it were!). The cab exceeded my expectations in every way- having retired the vintage Marshall 4x12 I was looking for something equally huge sounding in a smaller & lighter package- and I've now got it.

Reliability isn't an issue with the Custom Cab Company- the cab is 'over-engineered' if anything with lock nuts used instead of cheapo screws- and nothing is screwed into bare wood- all panels are fixed using screw bolts into fitted nuts. No rattles, buzzes or coloration whatsoever- even at high volume levels. I've contacted the team at CCC many times asking lot's of questions & all have been answered promptly. I have no issues with the quality of personal service from CCC- they're the best! So good in fact I have since bought another cab from them which was one of the original prototypes and only differs slightly in it's baffle ports from the production version.

I won't bore you with the usual droning on- but suffice to say I'm a professional musician- 'nuff said. Simply put these guys make the best guitar cabs I've ever tried- period. The internal mics & quality of engineering put them light years ahead of the vast majority of other makers. Yep, their expensive- but only if you compare them to generic el-cheapo knock- off MDF mass production cabs. These are literally & painstakingly HAND MADE to your requirements- bespoke tailoring for your tone & I can't recommend them highly enough.

I purchased the cab this year and have had it about four months.
The cab is closed back and houses speaker as per the customers choice. I chose 2 Eminence Redcoat Wizards. Wired with high quality Oxygen free speaker cable. The cabinet also contains a Microphone capsule and a balanced XLR output interface for direct input to a PA. Inter-changeable rear and front panels allowing the speakers to be reversed for different tonal choices. (The Mic interface contains a Phase switch if anyone chooses this form of speaker orientation). Nice thick sturdy handle on the top of the cab and solid metal cornering - not your plastic or leather junk some manufactures choose. Customised tolex covering (I Chose black) but there's a variety of colours to choose from.

I play in a variety of units playing R&B, 70's funk and standard covers. I wanted a big fat sound without having to lug around a 4x12. The cab sounds huge for it's size. Very warm focused sound yet not flappy. Great definition from top to bottom. In truth the best sounding single closed back cab I've discovered to date.

Customer support was excellent. I received follow up calls to ensure the cab was delivering as was expected, and that I was fully satisfied. I Guess that's the benefits of a small company for you.

I've been playing over twenty years, and Tried more gear than I can remember. Every now and then you stumble across something that really stands out. This cab is one of them. Some Manufacturers seem content to stick a couple speakers on the end of a box with little thought to how vital the cab acoustics can be. Sure speaker choices are important but the cab can make or break the tone too. Custom Cabs have really done their homework, producing in my opinion one of the best sounding cabs I've heard to date.
The cabs are not as cheap as say a Marshal cab but what you pay for is full custom design, and a cabinet that sound wise is just streets ahead.
