This amp was sent to me for repair. It was a bad soldered wire going to a tone pot. This amp was built on 1967. It has been heavily used in the past and it is still used today by many groups of students. Is has two channels w hi and lo input each and with tremolo effect (it doesn't work and I wasn't able to repair). Power is about 30 watt. It was very noisy. I grounded the amp and preamp but no results. Then I changed the 12AX7 and now is a little better.
It was made in 1967.
It is still heavily used in a test room

The sound is very appreciated by the students. Each channel has low, mid , high and presence controls (very effective). Distorsion comes very brutal at high volumes. Final valves (EL504) seems exausted but I din't have the chance to replace them so far.

Considering the heavy use it looks very reliable. Anyway many people have put their hands on it for repair in the past. Some mods have been also made, I suspect.

I asked Davoli in Parma (Italy) for schematic. I'm waiting for their answer. Any technical info on this amp is appreciated (I would like to restore it to its original conditions)

It's a 1965 50 Watts head form Davoli(Italy). 2 channels (normal and tremolo) with Hi and Lo impedence each. The tremolo can be modified by 2 potentiometer for frequency and width and activated using a pedal switch. The 50 watts are only effective 'cause it sounds like a 30 watts amp. It's not very loud!
Mine version has 2xEL500 and 1x12AX7 but I know another version with 2x12AX7.

It sounds good. Quite noisy 'cause it isn't originaly grounded. The tremolo is nice, very deep and hot! I've played it with a mid 60' Eko Barracuda VI and the sound was very particular, very good for rock, blues and jazz and probably for anything except metal or hard rock!!!

It use a strange type of tubes (EL500) hard to find. I've changed the tube's capacitors 'cause they were ended. It is well wired and works good without particular problems. It's not a loud amp, 50watts seems like 30 watts.

The Show II is a nice head, good vintage looking, not loud but with a good particular sound!
Needs a bit of maintenance 'cause it's a vintage amps but it has particular attractive sound.
