I believe my DeArmond amp is from 1962 based on the number on the 12" Jensen Special Design Loudspeaker. This model (and it's the only model I'm aware of, and ever seen) features Tremolo inputs and dials for Depth and Rate. It has two normal channels and two tremolo channels in all. It has a single on/off switch which has a middle setting for stand by, seperate volume controls for each channel, and a single tone control. It's a very simple amp, the same as a CF Martin 112, both of which are based on a Fender Tweed Deluxe. The features are very simple, but there is a good range of tone and tremolo that can be achieved.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds like guitar heaven. I play with a Dearmond M-75, and they sound like they were meant to be together, must be those gold Dearmond humbuckers. The tone is super clean, and you can crank it for some nice crunch, just like any old Fender. If you can find this amp (or the Martin 112), buy it! The tremolo sounds really cool too, very reminscent of old surfer rock. The amp also seems to have a natural reverb to it, which you can kind of enhance by plugging into the tremolo and keeping the tremolo settings low.

Reliability : 10
Not sure yet, but I got this off of ebay and the damn thing survived the shipment and 40+ years of being kicked around before that, so I'd have to say it's pretty damn reliable, I can't wait to gig out with it.

Customer Support : 5
DeArmond is DeFunked... there is no customer service for this amp, unless you want to try call up Fender and ask if they have any old parts considering they bought everything DeArmond ever had patented (from what I've heard). However, I did just buy the "Tube Amp Book" and the CD-rom it comes with includes specs for a Martin 112, which is the same amp, so I'd say that's pretty close to some kind of customer service.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 10 years, and this is my first all tube amp. I bought this amp to fix it up and resell, but now I just want to keep it! If it were stolen or lost, I'd get bid sniping software and hide in the bushes for another one to show up on ebay, or a Martin 112, but name recognition on the Martin might mean a higher price tag.
