Its fairly new out 2006/7. First impressions were IT'S CHEAP!!! All in all with postage and packing it was ??30. Its made from black plastic, looks and feels quite fragile and if you dropped it I think it could be messy. Its about the size of a cigarette packet (maybe just slightly smaller), very light and it clips onto your belt using a fairly flimsy clip. The headphones that come with it are light but sound and feel tinny and cheap. I used my phillips headphones and this improved the sound no end.

Sound Quality : 6
The Sound - the box describes it as a "stack in a box" hmmmm, not sure about that. Its got basic controls of volume/on - off switch .which has three settings - off/on, quiet and loud. No rotary volume control which would be more logical I would have thought, giving you a bit more control over the volume (which isn't really ear-splitting). The other switch controls the sound settings of which there are three distorition, overdrive and clean. Clean is clean, its not great, it merely amplifies the natural sound of you guitar, overdrive gives you a bluesy type of sound whilst distortion gives you a harsh distorted sound which is ok - not great just ok.
There are no tone controls, no graphic eqs and basically no frills. Its a headphone amp designed for use on the go - whilst travelling, in a hotel room or wherever you might be that you don't have access to a guitar amp. Sound variation is limited but when you see the size of the thing you will see why.

Reliability : 6
There is no mains input on this bit of kit, it runs off a battery (9v PP3) which is included with the amp. You will need either a supply of batteries or a couple of rechargables. No indication of the power drain on the batter, it just dies on you.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with.

Overall Rating : 6
To sum up - if you are looking for a POD or Zoom type unit, forget it. What you get here is the no frills, bare minumum requirement for a headphone amp. Its handy for when you are away from your amp and need to practice. There are a few downsides, there's no tone control, the output could be slightly louder and for the money I would have liked something a bit more sturdier, however these are personal gripes.
Where the improvents could come are sturdier construction (perhaps a light metal) and a tone control which would justify the price a bit more.
For its faults I will only give it a 6 but it could improve itself up to an 8 if it was fitted with a tone control and an aluminium case.
